About The Role & Team
At Amplitude, we empower teams with data to make informed, strategic decisions. Our Business Transformation team drives the evolution of our enterprise data infrastructure, to support key business functions. As an Enterprise Data & Analytics Product Owner on the Business Transformation Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and the Data Engineering team to build and optimize data models that enable teams across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and HR to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap & Alignment: Develop and maintain the roadmap for the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring alignment with key business objectives and partner needs. Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to ensure priorities are aligned and evolving needs are addressed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and G&A teams to gather, document, and validate business requirements. Ensure these are translated into detailed, actionable technical specifications for the Data Engineering team.
- Data Model Development: Lead the creation and optimization of data models that serve critical business processes across GTM, Product, and G&A teams. Ensure data models are scalable, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, timelines, milestones, and dependencies. Regularly communicate project progress and status to key stakeholders, identifying risks and ensuring alignment on resolution strategies.
- Business Process Optimization: Lead efforts to document and map business processes, driving efficiency through data-driven solutions. Prioritize requirements and enhancements through structured stakeholder collaboration.
- Requirements & Functional Design: Elicit and document business requirements, write detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and lead functional design processes. Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure successful implementation.
- Testing & Deployment: Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring that test cases are aligned with business requirements. Facilitate production deployment, smoke testing, and post-launch hypercare, ensuring seamless project handovers and issue resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize and iterate on the prioritization framework to ensure that the most impactful data initiatives are continuously prioritized. Drive a culture of ongoing improvement and efficiency across data processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Data Analyst, or in a similar role focused on data infrastructure and analytics.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise data warehousing, ideally with experience in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Snowflake is required
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for data engineering teams.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Finance, and HR, to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Solid understanding of SQL, data pipelines, and reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of leading complex data initiatives from inception through to delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise data warehousing, tooling, data visualization including DBT, Tableau
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Experience building data models and predictive analytic products from the ground up
- Experience in building or managing data models for GTM and G&A teams in a fast-paced SaaS or technology environment.
- Familiarity with Go-To-Market processes and tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, and Outreach.

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $140,000 - $210,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission) Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $155,000 - $233,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission) Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $140,000 - $210,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission) Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $140,000 - $210,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission) Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans.
