Anaplan is seeking a visionary Cloud Data and Analytics Architect to own and execute our end-to-end data strategy. This is a hybrid role for a leader who is passionate about both building world-class data platforms and translating that data into powerful analytics solutions. You will be responsible for architecting our data ecosystem on the Google Cloud Platform and ensuring it directly serves the analytical needs of the business, empowers self-service BI, and delivers actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Architecture: Design and own the complete architecture for data and analytics, from ingestion and processing to visualization and insight delivery.
- Analytics Enablement: Partner closely with business leaders and analysts to translate their needs into technical requirements. Design data models and access patterns optimized for BI and self-service analytics platforms like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Platform Engineering: Build and manage robust, scalable data pipelines on GCP using services like BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage, with orchestration tools like Airflow and Dataform.
- Unified Data Strategy: Architect seamless data flows between our core GCP environment, Databricks, and other critical business systems.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and champion DevOps best practices for all data and analytics infrastructure using Terraform and Github.
- Data Governance & Quality: Institute a rigorous data governance framework to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data used for analytics.
- Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor data engineers and analysts, defining the standards for both data infrastructure and analytics development.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certification.
- Experience in a multi-cloud environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
