Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is central to maintaining, upgrading, and ensuring the high availability of our critical DevOps toolchain. The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist with experience managing a variety of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools on an AWS-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for platform health, performance tuning, and providing excellent support to our development and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • DevOps Toolchain Management: Administer, upgrade, and maintain the health of our core DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, HashiCorp Terraform Enterprise, and GitHub Enterprise. This includes routine configuration, version upgrades, and ensuring seamless integrations.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and upgrade the underlying AWS infrastructure that hosts our DevOps platforms. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform) to automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance.
  • Platform Availability & Performance: Proactively monitor the DevOps toolchain for performance, availability, and reliability issues. Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure platform stability and uptime.
  • User Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a primary point of contact for our engineering teams, providing timely support and expert troubleshooting for issues related to CI/CD pipelines, repository access, secrets management, and other development tools.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work with Platform Engineering, development, and security teams to support tool integrations, streamline processes, and improve the overall developer experience.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation, operational runbooks, and user guides for all supported platforms and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role, with a strong focus on managing and supporting CI/CD toolchains.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong experience managing infrastructure on AWS.
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
    • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience supporting tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and GitHub.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
    • Knowledge of secrets management concepts and tools like HashiCorp Vault.
    • Solid background in Linux/Unix system administration.
