About the team:
Domain Knowledge is a new function focused on building services trades expertise through in-depth research across trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more. By leveraging our trades expertise and deep understanding of the needs of our customers, we aim to drive a superior user experience and build customer trust. Our mission is to improve the user experience by actioning on our research findings, inform strategic initiatives, and drive decisions across the organization by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
The team is composed of both dedicated researchers and strategists. The researchers will run the trade research process and build a foundational knowledge base of the trades.
Strategists (this role) translate that research into strategy and action, using research output to improve our core product. We work closely with several teams including product, design, analytics, data science, marketing, care, and operations.

- Launch A/B tests comparing different homeowner questionnaires and evaluate performance to determine winning versions.
Leverage Data to Inform Decisions:
- Analyze data from various sources, including A/B tests, user behavior, and qualitative research, to inform decisions (standard business analysis - no special knowledge of data science or statistics required).
- Share findings and actionable insights with stakeholders across various teams.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., Conversion, Wrong Task Rate, Job Done Well) and identify opportunities to optimize features.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and analysts to improve testing and operational workflows.
Support Strategic Initiatives:
Initiatives might include:
- Investigate and analyze industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop content for additional homeowner guidance that we may include in the user experience (including helper text, photos, etc.)
- Develop and implement an approach for assessing service professional skills and qualifications, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Support the implementation of a standardized, data-driven pricing framework across Angi, leveraging research on key cost factors.
Who you are:
- You have 1-4 years of relevant experience, with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to extract insights from both qualitative and quantitative data.
- You are a hypothesis-driven thinker with a passion for experimentation.
- You are a doer and a builder - while you like working with data, you’re also excited to design and ship optimizations based on what you learned!
