About the role

Angi is seeking a Temporary Insights Analysts for a one year contract to explore the nuances of the trades on our platform, diving deep into the details to drive superior user experiences and build trust with both homeowners and Pros. As a Temporary Insight Analyst you will be responsible for conducting qualitative research, quantitative analysis, and strategic recommendations to enhance our platform and improve key outcomes like lead quality, job completion rates, and satisfaction. This role requires exceptional curiosity, a strong interest in user behavior and research, combined with the ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative data. 

This position will be remote and require candidates to work up to a 40-hour work week. The hourly rate for this role ranges between $40-44 per hour. 

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate platform performance and customer behavior to inform strategies that improve user experiences and matching outcomes.
  • Analyze internal and external data sources to uncover trends and actionable insights.
  • Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights to guide product optimization and strategy.
  • Lead qualitative interviews with tradespeople and homeowners to understand trade practices, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Recommend and prioritize the most impactful initiatives to address first, ensuring focus on areas with the highest potential business value.
  • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to integrate insights into the product experience while serving as a subject matter expert on trades to guide strategies that enhance the homeowner and Pro experience.

Who you are

  • 1-4 years of experience in research, analytics, strategy, consulting, or a related field. 
  • Passionate about learning about new industries and creatively leverage available tools, data, and networks to uncover actionable insights. 
  • Strong expertise in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful insights that drive strategy. 
  • Comfortable translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Highly proficiency in business analysis and data analysis tools, such as advanced Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
  • An attentive listener who can communicate extremely clearly and concisely both verbally and in written forms.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to excel in independent work environments, always seeking and driving positive outcomes.
  • This is a new and growing team, so comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build processes from scratch are essential. Experience in a startup or fast-paced, iterative environment is highly valued.
