Senior Product Manager (f/m/d)

Munich

Join Apaleo and Shape the Future of Hospitality Tech!

At Apaleo, we’re revolutionizing the hospitality industry with our API-first property management platform, giving businesses the power to build a tech ecosystem that enhances both guest experiences and staff efficiency. With seamless integrations to hundreds of apps through the Apaleo Store, our platform simplifies operations, elevates the guest journey, and drives revenue growth.

Are you ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a Sr. Product Manager Fiscal & Legal (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of hospitality technology and poised to propel Apaleo into 180+ countries. Be a pivotal part of crafting a fiscal/legal framework that empowers Apaleo to swiftly become compliant in new territories!

What You'll Be Up To

  • Owning the end to end delivery of one or two product crews within the fiscal and legal domain, for example invoicing or taxation.
  • Turning roadmap priorities into clear, well scoped work your engineering team can execute against.
  • Balancing planned roadmap delivery with the steady stream of regulatory and reactive work that comes with keeping Apaleo compliant in markets we've already launched.
  • Writing clear specs, defining what done looks like and following through on impact analysis so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Working shoulder to shoulder with engineering as a technical partner. You'll get into the detail of our API-first architecture rather than handing off a ticket and waiting.
  • Shielding your team from noise and distractions so they can focus on what matters, whilst keeping delivery predictable.
  • Partnering with customer success, compliance and engineering stakeholders to understand what's needed and translate it into shippable work.
  • Helping the team move faster on new country launches, contributing to our ambition of making Apaleo compliant in many more markets over the next few years.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • At least 3 to 4 years' experience as a Product Manager, ideally in a fast moving startup or scale up environment.
  • A strong execution mindset. You're energised by shipping, not just planning, and you take ownership of your product area without needing to be hand held.
  • Comfort working with technical, API-first products. You can talk architecture with engineers, challenge their thinking and understand what you're shipping in real depth.
  • Sharp prioritisation instincts. You know how to sequence work, say no to good ideas that aren't great ones, and keep a team focused day to day.
  • A genuine curiosity for complex domains. You dig into the details rather than staying at the surface, and you're not afraid of a codebase with some history to it.
  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Extra Awesome Points For

  • Experience with fiscal, tax or legal compliance topics, for example in fintech, e-commerce or ERP systems. This is a genuine nice to have, not a requirement.
  • Familiarity with platform products where you expose APIs for others to build on.

What We Offer

  • A diverse, international team. Work alongside passionate people from all sorts of backgrounds, with a genuinely global perspective.
  • A flat, flexible structure. You'll get real autonomy and ownership, without unnecessary hierarchy in the way.
  • A key role in a fast growing startup, right in the heart of Munich.
  • Fair, transparent compensation with a clear peer review and career progression plan.
  • Flexible working, with hours and remote options that depend on the role.
  • Team events that are actually fun: cocktail nights, team dinners, meetups and our legendary Oktoberfest celebrations.
  • 30 days of holiday to properly switch off and recharge.
  • Free public transport in Munich. Your commute, covered.

How You'll Make an Impact

Joining Apaleo means more than taking on a role. Your work will directly shape how quickly and reliably we can bring our platform to new markets, and the systems you help build will make life easier for every property that runs on Apaleo. Your voice matters here, and your impact will be easy to see.

Apaleo is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, committed to a diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplace. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity or expression, sex, national origin, age, marital status, disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Your personal data is handled with care and in line with GDPR and relevant data protection regulations.
