Role Summary
The Department of Research and Translational Medicine is seeking a Research Associate/Senior RA, Preclinical and Clinical Biomarkers. This person will have direct experience with immunoassay method development, commercial kit feasibility evaluation and implementation, assay development and qualification as well as clinical sample testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Use multiple platforms (such as MSD, ELISA) to support immunoassay method feasibility evaluation and implementation, development and qualification of biomarker assays in different matrices in support of our preclinical and clinical programs
- Perform laboratory assays in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Maintain the inventory of samples and associated paperwork according to our operating procedures
- Assists with identifying needs and sourcing of reagents, samples, and other critical materials
- Collaborate with scientists across different groups and functional areas to generate high quality data to support programs in discovery through development
- Critically analyze and interpret data and frequently present at meetings
- Keep thorough and timely records of lab activity in electronic notebook.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Biology, molecular biology, biochemistry) with 3-5 plus years or M.S. with 2 plus years of relevant scientific/technical industry experience
- Experienced in assay development and qualification specifically ELISAs and on MSD.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to a variety of stakeholders and message accordingly.
- Excellent record keeping skills

- Ability and willingness to travel including a minimum of 2 times per year for All Hands meetings
- Ability to work onsite up to 5 days per week in the Apogee lab located in Boston, MA
The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $100,000 - $120,000/year. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
