Engineer I: $74,000 - $86,000
Engineer II: $82,000 - $94,000
Engineer III: $90,000 - $103,000
Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Project Engineer in Brooklyn Park, MN, you will:
- Develop a detailed project plan using Excel or MS Project based on the product requirements document, including estimated timing for all major tasks
- Create initial design concepts for the belly pan package using Creo
- Conduct concept design reviews with the core team and secure approval to proceed
- Coordinate with the analysis group to ensure the design meets durability requirements
- Partner with product cost management to confirm the design aligns with cost targets
- Pull and manage part numbers within TeamCenter
- Work with Product Development Purchasing (PDP) to support supplier technical reviews from concept through final release
- Create component drawings in Creo as needed
- Lead cross‑functional design reviews to ensure alignment prior to prototype build
- Complete the initial Bill of Material (BOM) release
- Order prototype parts and submit work orders for fit‑up
- Support fit‑up activities, resolve issues, and drive package release for production readiness
- Combine issue lists from multiple sources (mule build, DFA/DFM reports) and consolidate them into a unified action plan
- Bundle design changes to maximize efficiency and minimize rework
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate the content and accuracy of each change
- Create redline markups to guide offshore teams in executing corrections
- Track progress of all open items, including percent complete and estimated completion dates
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Coon Rapids, Champlin, and Maple Grove, and the greater Minneapolis
- Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Ag & Biosystems, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Proficiency with Creo and TeamCenter
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, analysis, purchasing, and manufacturing teams
- Willingness to travel by car outside of the metro area
- Experience with Excel‑based issue tracking or project management tools
- Prior cross‑functional engineering experience
- Familiarity with prototype builds, fit‑up processes, or production release workflows
