Team Summary
The Forward Deployed Solution Architect (FDSA) team sits at the intersection of Arcesium's commercial and product organizations, embedded directly in helping demonstrate the value of our platform in unique client situations. This role sits specifically within the Front Office practice, covering Arcesium's cloud-native P/OMS for buy-side institutions and its fit in the broader front-to-back platform.
Based in Stockholm (hybrid), you'll partner closely with Account Executives, Commercial leads, and Product Teams across our global offices — with travel to where our clients and prospects are.
We're looking for someone who brings deep front-office domain expertise and a natural ability to translate complex platform capabilities into solutions that resonate. If you thrive at the intersection of technical depth and commercial context, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do
- Own the solutioning layer of the sales process from initial discovery through to Proof-of-Concept delivery and deal close. You are the technical and domain anchor in every prospect engagement.
- Lead discovery with prospective clients. Engage directly with CTO, COO, Operations and front-office stakeholders (portfolio managers, heads of trading, CIO) to understand their investment workflows, data architecture, and strategic objectives.
- Design and articulate solutions, mapping Arcesium's platform capabilities to prospect problems, with a particular focus on the front-office workflow: portfolio management, order and execution management, pre-trade compliance, position keeping, and analytics.
- Deliver high-quality Proof of Concepts (PoCs). Scope, plan, and execute PoCs that demonstrate tangible, specific value quickly. Define success criteria jointly with the prospect and manage delivery to them.
- Produce compelling written proposals and materials, including solution architectures, workflow diagrams, business case narratives, and RFP responses, calibrated for both technical and business audiences.
- Present Arcesium's platform in sales conversations and demos. Articulate the technology and domain differentiation clearly and persuasively.
- Guide prospects through the technical evaluation process, including API walkthroughs, data flow discussions, integration architecture, and readiness assessments.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering. Feed prospect-derived insights back into the roadmap and ensure proposed solutions are deliverable.
- Contribute to the commercial foundation. Help develop reusable artefacts, demo environments, and solutioning playbooks that improve the team's velocity and consistency across cycles.
What You'll Need
- Experience in client-facing technical roles such as pre-sales, solutions consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or professional services
- Strong front-office domain knowledge across the investment management workflow: portfolio and order management (P/OMS), pre-trade compliance, IBOR/position keeping, trade capture, and the data interfaces into middle and back office. Familiarity with other Front Office systems is a strong plus.
- Broad asset class coverage: especially fixed income and OTC derivatives; comfort discussing instrument-specific workflows and data requirements at a meaningful level of depth.
- Technology fluency. Ability to engage credibly on integration architecture, API design, data flows, and cloud infrastructure.
- Commercial acumen. You understand the sales cycle, how to manage technical evaluations, and how to position platform trade-offs honestly and strategically.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Able to adapt for a CTO one hour and a portfolio manager the next; equally effective in written materials and live presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management. Comfortable running governance meetings, managing competing priorities across a sales process, and maintaining trust with senior external stakeholders over an extended cycle.
- Fluency in English required; Swedish is an advantage but not required.
- Valid permit to work in Sweden.
