Staff Applications Engineer

What you’ll do:
- Work with systems engineering, software, and configuration management teams to design, implement, and deploy solutions in Archer’s requirements management, MBSE, and ICD tools
- Support the implementation of a configuration management strategy for artifacts managed in Polarion
- Develop codeful solutions to extend out of the box testing capabilities in Polarion
- Develop solutions to extend requirements management capabilities, especially for reporting and data analytics
- Mature Archer’s existing MBSE methodology to enhance architectural analyses and aircraft integration efforts
- Support the implementation of a configuration management strategy for MBSE artifacts
- Develop codeful solutions that extend out of the box modeling capabilities to support use cases across the engineering and airline organizations
- Leverage responsive design principles to improve the UI/UX of internally developed applications
- Introduce OSLC connectivity between Archer’s requirements management, MBSE, and internally developed tools
- Coordinate with DevOps engineers to introduce build and deployment automations and CI/CD pipelines for Archer’s requirements management and MBSE tools
- Work with Archer’s data engineering and digital transformation teams to connect datastreams from a variety of applications using no-code/low-code platforms
- Perform bug fixing and issue resolution based on existing backlog
- Collaborate with tool owners to propose improvements to the software architecture to improve application maintainability and administration
What you need:
- Expertise in the configuration and administration of Siemens Polarion
- Knowledge of aerospace requirements management solutions and methods
- Experience using the velocity templating language (VTL) and HTML to develop dashboards and reports in Polarion
- Experience customizing Siemens Polarion using the Professional Services Organization (PSO) Scripting Engine
- Strong experience defining MBSE methodologies and performing modeling
- Familiarity developing .NET and/or C# applications
- Familiarity with databases and backend development
- Experience developing utility scripts with Python, Javascript, or similar languages
- Experience with managing and manipulating data in JSON and XML formats
- Strong ability to manage source code and configurations with git
- Experience with agile planning and work execution
- Strong communication skills to directly interface with end users during development and testing
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with ARP4754A, DO178C, and DO254
- Experience with orchestration tools like Jetbrains Teamcity(or similar)
- Experience developing utility scripts with Python, Javascript, or similar languages
- Knowledge of Cameo Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standard
- Experience with no-code/low-code platforms like Mendix or Retool
- Knowledge of data lakes and data warehouses
- Knowledge of system administration for both Windows and Linux platforms
- Experience with responsive web design, especially using:
- ReactJS
- Figma
- REST APIs

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $151,680 - $189,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
