Manufacturing Supervisor - Technical Training
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and oversee the training of manufacturing technicians, ensuring technical proficiency in aerospace assembly and integration processes.
- Develop, update, and implement comprehensive training programs for composite fabrication, mechanical assembly, and system integration processes.
- Manage a team of technicians while providing technical guidance and mentoring to enhance skill development and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to establish best practices for training and certification.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate technician competency, identifying opportunities for improvement and creating individualized training plans.
- Support production supervisors by creating and maintaining training documentation, standard work instructions, and training schedules.
- Facilitate cross-training across various production disciplines, including composite fabrication, wiring, and integration processes, to maximize workforce flexibility.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and feedback among team members.
- Analyze production challenges, leveraging training programs to address skill gaps and improve operational efficiency.
- Act as a liaison between production teams and leadership, communicating training needs, progress, and outcomes to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending enhancements to training methods, tools, and materials.
What You Need:
- Minimum 8 years of aerospace manufacturing experience, with a focus on composite fabrication, mechanical assembly, and system integration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a trainer, supervisor, or mentor in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft manufacturing standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing training materials, including visual aids, standard work instructions, and procedural guides.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in MES and ERP systems, along with Google Suite or equivalent software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with evolving priorities.
- Capability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and maintain visual acuity for quality inspections.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is a plus.
Bonus Qualifications:
• A&P certification.
• Familiarity with IPC 610/620 & AC43.13-B standards.
• Experience with high-voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motors.
• Knowledge of aircraft configuration management and FAA conformity requirements.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $105,655 - $114,978. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
