Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You’ll Do:

The Senior Technical Program Manager, Corporate Technology is responsible for successful delivery of small, medium, large and complex programs/projects through all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle which includes – initiation, planning, development, execution, control & closeout of projects. The role will support IT/CT and the business as a member of the IT/CT PMO organizing, coordinating and driving technology programs and projects. 

  • Lead tactical and strategic IT/CT projects/programs and complex technology and/or IT Infrastructure projects.
  • Thorough business applications system architecture (Ex: ERP, Workday, etc.) understanding to understand the project status.
  • Ensure IT/CT programs/projects deliver on commitments
  • Define, plan, direct the establishment & execution of a broad range of technical programs/projects, while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risk
  • Plan, organize, lead and monitor the activities of the project team
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. 
  • Develop detailed project plans, sprints, or kan-ban break-outs
  • Provide project risk analysis and mitigation planning
  • Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget and scope
  • Create collaborative partnerships and perform stakeholder management with customers, vendors and other teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure projects' objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders.
  • Develop projects' scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Prepare and manage deliverables (Project Plan, Risk Plan, Communication Plan, etc.) – use deliverables to conduct the project
  • Manage the escalation of issues and submit recommendations to PMO and/or executive steering teams to remediate
  • Track the status of deliverables and any decisions made regarding Project Change Requests and outstanding issues weekly
  • Update appropriate documentation and project plan to reflect changes in requirements and commitments
  • Identify, document and ensure analysis of scope change requests throughout the project lifecycle
  • Utilize company release management, change management standards and procedures
  • Manage and develop project cost estimates and tracking to actuals 
  • Participate in process definition to support changes in maturity as Archer grows
  • Communicate w/ office-based and remote personnel in different time zones

What You Need:

  • 7+ years of IT specific Project Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computer or project management field or equivalent work experience 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications strongly desired
  • Extensive experience working with external Systems Integrators and global project resources across different technical disciplines in multiple time zones
  • Seasoned with diverse systems landscapes and integration needs (i.e. on-premises, hybrid, and Cloud-based applications)
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods (Scheduling, Resourcing, Cost Management, Scoping, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Collaboration tools; working knowledge of program/project management software is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and across technical and non-technical teams
  • Self-driven and highly motivated with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional digital transformation and system implementation initiatives
  • Strong ability to work across domains and multiple technologies
  • Ability to be detailed in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Ability to address and resolve difficult situations even under time pressure
  • Experience managing projects with a global footprint

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure technology
  • Knowledge of InfoSec

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between 133,440 - 166,800. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
