Electrical Test Engineer, Inverter

What you’ll do:
- Design and build reliable automated test equipment to validate and certify electronic propulsion systems.
- Work together with Design Engineers, System Engineers, and Reliability Engineers to Identify design critical operating modes and create design validation test plans.
- Work with test technicians to build validation test setups and execute test plans and teardowns.
- Investigate device failures to determine root cause and drive product improvements.
- Follow safety procedures for operating with and around high voltage and high power systems
- Identify and plan critical tests to validate new technologies.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with physical testing and analysis of mechanical or electronic systems against detailed requirements.
- 2+ years of direct automation design and build experience (automated testing, manufacturing, robotics, industrial etc.)
- Experience leading and driving technical projects to completion
- Good understanding of electrical circuit design and power electronics.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, NI, or other data acquisition and analysis software.
- Experience with electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools.
- Strong communicator, presenter, and writer of clear technical content
Bonus Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with component, system, or vehicle validation testing (FAA DO160, Biomedical FDA testing, or equivalent)
- Strong Electrical Engineering Background (active circuit design, power electronics, digital circuits, motor drives, signal measurement and conditioning) or Strong Mechanical Engineering Background (fluids, mechanics of Materials, heat transfer)
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams across an organization
- Experience using CAD software to create basic fixtures
- Experience with HV systems and safety.
- Experience with integrated system communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS485 etc.)

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $110,400 - $138,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
