Senior Lab Test Engineer
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:
- Own testing within Archer’s various integrated labs from planning stages through execution and reporting
- Utilize lab test equipment and Archer’s simulation environment to setup test cases, validate system requirements, and investigate issues
- Lead collaborative efforts with aircraft system engineers to develop test plans and procedures
- Assist in the coordination of integrated lab test scheduling
- Develop and maintain integrated test lab operating procedures
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in aircraft system integration and test, or related field
- Technical understanding of test equipment (Scopes, Meters, and Sensors) for applicable use in a lab environment to drive tests to completion
- Wholistic understanding of aircraft systems and their impact on higher level vehicle capability
- Ability to develop and execute aircraft system verification and validation procedures
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, A429, Serial (RS-485/RS-422/RS-232), and Ethernet
- Positive and collaborative communication style
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with HIL and/or real-time simulation environments
- Proficiency in Python and its use to develop custom test automation and data processing tools

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between 122,880.00 - $153,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
