Publishing Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Publishing Operations Specialist to support the Business Management team in driving operational excellence across global publishing, sales, and marketing teams. This mid-level role bridges marketing ops, sales ops, publishing ops, and broader cross-functional initiatives, helping streamline workflows, enhance performance tracking, and support game and business operations. The ideal candidate has experience with video game publishing, is comfortable managing data, coordinating across teams, and navigating partner platforms used in the video game industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist with product setup and quality control across storefronts including Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games Store, and retail portals such as Amazon Vendor Central.
- Maintain and update content across partner portals ensuring accurate metadata, assets, and configurations.
- Actively use JIRA to create, track, and manage tickets for internal submission workflows, partner deliverables, and cross-functional requests.
- Create and maintain internal trackers to monitor SKU records, pricing files, regional mappings, launch timelines, and promotional participation; ensures consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Prepare and update reports on key operational metrics including unit sales, pricing performance, campaign participation, and submission statuses.
- Support campaign execution by coordinating pricing setup, verifying eligibility rules, and aligning timelines across internal and external calendars.
- Perform quality control on live product listings to ensure launch accuracy and compliance with partner requirements.
- Communicate with retail partners like Amazon to help manage product detail page setup, resolve issues, and support promotional execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Analytics, Legal) to gather assets, validate data, and execute product and campaign plans.
- Assist with documenting processes, building knowledge base articles, and updating internal SOPs.
- Perform other business operations and administrative tasks as assigned to ensure business continuity.
- Travel locally and internationally 5-10%.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2 years of experience in video game publishing or the video game industry, 3 years preferred.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar ticketing systems to manage workflows and operational processes.
- Familiarity with digital publishing portals such as Steamworks, Xbox Partner Center, PlayStation Publishing Portal, and Amazon Vendor Central strongly preferred
- Strong data hygiene and maintenance skills; able to create and manage complex trackers in spreadsheets and systems as well as ability to create reports for performance-based tracking.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to track multiple submissions and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills; able to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to navigate partner platforms used in the video game industry
This role does not require regular in-office presence and can primarily be performed remotely. However, onsite presence may be needed for team meetings, events, or collaborative work sessions. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who are local and open to occasional onsite work.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Bellevue, WA office.
Please note that the pay range listed in this job posting reflects the full salary range for this position. While we provide this range to offer transparency, our target hiring range typically falls between the minimum and the midpoint, allowing for growth potential within the role.
Total compensation is salary plus an annual bonus potential. When determining an offer amount, many things are taken into consideration such as qualifications, experience, internal equity and work location. We strive to provide competitive and equitable compensation packages to all our employees.

Bellevue pay range
$80,927 - $117,348 USD
