Position Description: 

Arlo is in search of a forward leaning Knowledge Management Specialist for the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Management Specialist with expertise in SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Monday.com and Advana to drive the development and implementation of knowledge management systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for structuring, organizing, and visualizing critical business information to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Experience with Advana is a significant plus and highly preferred. You will be collaborating with the Arlo Senior Program Manager and Government Cyber Assurance Director to determine and prioritize business strategies. You will help execute critical and strategic missions across multifunctional teams including but not limited to cyber security subject matter experts, strategic communications and other key personnel. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of agile methodologies, and the ability to develop metrics and schedules. The environment is fast paced with multiple projects and shifting priorities, making adaptability and prioritization key.

Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: 

  • Knowledge Management Systems Development:
  • Design, build, and maintain SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams structures, and Power BI dashboards to support knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Lead the development and integration of knowledge repositories, workflows, and automation to improve information accessibility.
  • Leverage Advana to consolidate, analyze, and present key data insights—Advana experience is highly preferred. Data Visualization & Reporting:
  • Develop and manage interactive Power BI dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Use Advana to aggregate, structure, and visualize enterprise-level data for leadership.
  • Ensure data accuracy and accessibility through effective data management practices. Collaboration & Information Architecture:
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for Teams, SharePoint, and Advana to ensure efficient knowledge management.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop user-friendly dashboards, portals, and automation tools that meet business needs.
  • Maintain site architecture, permissions, and access controls to ensure security and compliance. Training & Change Management:
  • Conduct training sessions on SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Advana to improve adoption and usage as requested.
  • Develop documentation, user guides, and best practices to support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between IT, business users, and leadership to streamline knowledge flow. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  • Monitor the effectiveness of knowledge management systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, particularly Advana and Microsoft 365 advancements, to optimize solutions.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Monday.com a plus!
  • Ability to convey complex information effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Advana experience is strongly preferred candidates with this expertise will be prioritized.
  • Proven experience designing and managing SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Strong knowledge of information architecture, content management, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Understanding of enterprise data management, security, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train users across multiple levels of the organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates: 

  • Must have at least a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of experience working within the data and web development field for mid to large size organizations.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in a complex organizational setting or within government agencies a plus.
  • Provide clearly articulate analysis through both oral and written communication.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
