About the role

Armada is seeking a Lead to drive execution of the Large Form Factor Modular Data Center (MDC) product line within our Form Factors business. Reporting to the GM of Form Factors, this role will be responsible for the Large Form Factor MDC product line, this role will support execution across product design and engineering, manufacturing and supply chain execution, and day-to-day business operations.

This is a hands-on, high-expectation role operating in a fast-growing, mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will combine technical depth, operational rigor, and commercial acumen to scale production, improve margins, and deliver high-quality modular data center solutions to demanding customers.

This role will operate as a hands-on execution owner for the product line, supporting the Director on strategy, investment, and growth decisions, and helping drive the cross-functional teams that deliver results.

 

 

Location. This role is remote in the United States. 

 

 

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Product Line Execution
•    Lead day-to-day execution of the Large Form Factor MDC product line, with accountability for delivery
•    Execute against the segment strategy set with the GM of Form Factors, ensuring alignment with Armada's broader platform and growth objectives.
•    Establish operating rhythms, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms to drive predictable execution.
•    Provide input to the GM on pricing, investment prioritization, capacity planning, and scaling strategy.

Product Design & Engineering Leadership
•    Lead end-to-end product development, including system architecture, mechanical/electrical design, thermal systems, integration, and certification.
•    Ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, cost-optimized, and compliant with global standards (UL, IEC, NEC, ISO, etc.).
•    Drive standardization and modularity while maintaining flexibility to meet customer-specific requirements.
•    Balance innovation velocity with reliability, quality, and time-to-market.

Manufacturing & Operations
•    Manage manufacturing operations for large-scale modular data center systems, including execution of factory strategy (internal and external), capacity scaling, and throughput optimization with our partners.
•    Build and scale repeatable production processes, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. This will be in partnership with our OEMs, manufacturing partners, and supply chain partners.
•    Partner with supply chain leadership on sourcing and execution for long-lead and critical components (power, cooling, steel, switchgear, IT infrastructure).
•    Implement strong quality management systems, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs.
•    Drive operational readiness for rapid growth while maintaining delivery excellence.

Business Operations & Execution
•    Translate customer demand and pipeline signals into executable production, staffing, and capital plans.
•    Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Program Management to execute complex customer deployments.
•    Oversee contract execution, delivery commitments, risk management, and change control.
•    Drive scalable business processes across quoting, cost modeling, order management, and delivery.

Collaboration & Culture
•    Collaborate with and mentor peers across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to drive high performance.
•    Contribute to a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and operational excellence.
•    Support hiring efforts to bring in strong technical and operational talent for a world-class modular infrastructure product line.
•    Set a strong example in a fast-paced environment where decisions must be made with imperfect information.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, engineering, or product execution roles, preferably in infrastructure and/or data centers.
  • Hands-on experience supporting a hardware or systems product as it scales from early growth toward higher-volume production.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and cost management.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams spanning engineering, operations, and commercial functions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across the organization.

 

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Direct experience with modular data centers, power and cooling systems, or large-scale infrastructure products.
  • Familiarity with capital-intensive manufacturing, long-lead components, and global supply chains.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and/or vertically integrated production models.
  • Background in environments with high customer expectations, tight delivery timelines, and rapid iteration.

 

 

Compensation

For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed below, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications.

We use a geographic pay structure based on cost-of-labor markets. 

  • Tier 1 (e.g., SF Bay Area, NYC, Seattle): $187,500 – $234,370
  • Tier 2 (most U.S. metro areas): $163,040 – $203,800
  • Tier 3 (other cities): $154,890 – $193,610 

Final compensation will be determined by experience, scope, and level, and may vary from the posted range. 

In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).
