About the Role
We're hiring a builder-minded Director, Corporate Controller to lead the global accounting function and take it to public-company standard. You will set the strategy for the controllership organization, own the close and accounting policy, build the controls environment, and lead the accounting workstreams behind our IPO readiness. The decisions you make will shape Armada's financial foundation for years to come.
This is not a maintenance role. You will architect the processes and systems a much larger, multi-entity, manufacturing-and-deployment business will run on, while staying close enough to the work to personally resolve the hardest technical questions.

- Advise sales, legal, and deal teams on the revenue and accounting implications of complex customer and government contract terms before signature
- Own accounting for leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), debt and financing transactions, contract costs (ASC 340-40), and foreign operations (ASC 830)

- Define the SOX readiness roadmap and direct the design and implementation of internal controls to achieve a SOX-ready control environment within 12 months
- Own the accounting workstreams for IPO readiness, partnering with legal, FP&A, and external advisors on timeline and deliverables, and drive process improvements across finance
Government and international
- Own accounting and compliance for US government contracts (Other Transaction agreements today, FAR/DFARS work ahead), including invoicing and cost compliance
- Partner with tax and treasury to set strategy for intercompany, transfer pricing, statutory audits, and local filings across international entities
Strategy, leadership, and systems
- Set the accounting systems roadmap; own and scale the ERP (NetSuite) and surrounding stack: procure-to-pay, billing, payroll, inventory/MRP, and consolidation tools
- Develop new methods to automate, standardize, and document close and reporting processes as the business scales
- Build, lead, and develop a growing accounting and tax organization, including hiring and developing managers; set the bar for rigor and pace, and define performance standards and career paths for the team
- Help establish the finance organization's strategic plans and objectives, and translate them into a multi-year controllership roadmap covering people, process, systems, and controls
- Cascade functional strategy into clear goals, priorities, and evaluation criteria for the accounting and tax team
- Own the accounting department budget, including headcount, audit and advisory fees, and systems spend
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP Finance and executive team on the accounting implications of strategic decisions, transactions, and financings

- Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience across international subsidiaries
- Comfort with ambiguity and pace: you prefer building the playbook to following one
