The Opportunity
Armis is seeking a Lead OT Solutions Engineer, SLED (State & Local Government, and Education) and Federal Civilian, to lead and drive our OT cybersecurity initiatives across the SLED and Federal Civilian markets. This strategic and customer-facing leadership role requires deep expertise in OT/ICS security, the SLED & Federal market, and cloud-based SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with key Federal Civilian and SLED agencies, articulating Armis’ OT security vision, leading technical teams, and driving market growth through strategic initiatives, technical excellence, and thought leadership.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary authority on Armis’ OT solutions for the SLED and Federal Civilian sectors
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives for expanding Armis’ presence in the Federal OT/ICS/IoT market
- Lead and mentor SLED and Federal Solutions Engineers (SEs), guiding OT security solutions and best practices
- Drive and manage proof-of-value (POV) installations for SLED and Federal Civilian OT prospects
- Deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions on OT security
- Represent Armis as an OT Cybersecurity SME, speaking at industry conferences and SLED/Federal Civilian engagements
- Work closely with OT Leadership and Product Management to translate SLED and Federal Civilian customer requirements into product enhancements
- Develop customer-facing collateral, whitepapers, and technical documentation for the Federal Civilian and SLED market
- Collaborate with customer success and support teams to ensure successful Federal deployments
- Stay ahead of evolving SLED and Federal cybersecurity mandates, Zero Trust initiatives, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, IL4/5/6, NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs,CC-SRG, and ICS security frameworks such as NERC-CIP, NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, TSA Directives, EPA guidelines, etc.).
- Travel up to 40% to meet with SLED and Federal Civilian customers, conduct briefings, and attend industry events
What We Expect
Education & Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance (Preferred)
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in OT-related cybersecurity, solutions engineering, or architecture roles
- 5+ years of SLED/U.S. Federal Civilian pre-sales experience in the cybersecurity industry
- Proven track record of delivering complex OT cybersecurity solutions to SLED/Federal Civilian agencies
- Experience in deploying SaaS-based solutions within SLED/Federal networks
- IT/OT architectures and SLED/Federal procurement processes
Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of OT, ICS, IoT, and BMS security architectures and risk management
- Expertise in control networks, segmentation, routing, and switching, VLANs, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, Zero Trust, NIST 800-82, RMF, STIGs, etc.)
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, State RAMP, and cloud security requirements
- Experience in Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- U.S. Armed Forces veteran with experience in DoD IT/OT networks
- Successful deployment and support of cybersecurity solutions within Federal/SLED Agencies.
The salary range guidance for this position is: $133,000 - $200,000 The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits (e.g. i.e. bonuses, commissions, stocks, health insurance benefits, etc.) offered to candidates.
