We're seeking a Team Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at AscellaHealth, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for patients with complex, chronic conditions and rare diseases. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical services while working alongside industry leaders in specialty pharmaceutical services. The Team Pharmacist position will involve pharmacy professional practice activities, including prescription verification, quality control, education and training, research, patient counseling, and drug information.
This role is a non-dispensing Pharmacist position based at our AscellaHealth headquarters in Berwyn, PA, and will require in-office attendance three days a week.

About the role
Critical parts of the job/Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy oversight and safety, including prescription verification and supervision of pharmacy operations and personnel.
- Enter patient prescriptions, including prescription review for accuracy of medication and dosage for disease state, and resolving any discrepancies with the prescribing physician.
- Handle patient inquiries to counsel and resolve any medical concerns or questions.
- Offer and provide drug counseling in accordance with OBRA standards.
- Perform clinical monitoring activities in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
- Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as required.
- Assist with overseeing the daily activities of the pharmacy team.
- Complete pharmacy logbooks per SOP
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Maintain Current knowledge of pharmacy practice and developments in the field
- Participate appropriately in staff and management meetings and patient care conferences
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
Areas of Meaningful Impact/What this position will focus on:
Patient Advocacy – You will play a role in ensuring that patients receive the specialty medication they need by working with both providers and insurance companies.
Education – You will assist in educating patients, providers, and staff about their medication and provide clinical guidance when necessary.
Operations – You will assist with ensuring the smooth operation of their pharmacy by providing guidance and mentoring to the staff.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Pharmacy is required. A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a pharmacist in the field of pharmacy.
- A current pharmacist’s license in good standing in the state of PA.
- The ability and willingness to obtain additional non-resident pharmacist license(s) within 6 months of hire is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading or managing pharmacy or contact center staff is helpful.
