Your Role

In Product Operations, you’ll have a unique blend of responsibilities that serve as the backbone of our operations:

  • Product Operations (70%): Own end-to-end funds flow from frontend user experience to backend financial operations (e.g., inbound reconciliation, supplier payouts, cancellations, etc.). Collaborate with the tech team to enhance health checks and tooling. Refine and improve processes with outsourced teams. Responsible for KPIs/metrics relating to areas of the product in your scope.
  • Business Operations (30%): Given the regulated nature of fintech and insurance, you will ensure compliance and accuracy in monthly and quarterly reporting, partnering closely with the Business Ops team. Responsible for office operations as needed.

Your manager will be the Head of Operations, and you'll collaborate regularly with the operations, product support, and tech teams.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally on product operations health checks.
  • Be responsible for all compliance-related reporting and ensuring the team stays updated on required training.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Support, and Engineering to identify key process improvements and tooling features.

Objective #1: In your first 30 days, you will onboard and get up to speed on Ascend, our product, operational processes, and funds flow. You will begin to take over product operations around accounts receivable and business operations relating to compliance.

Product Operations

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Ascend product and funds flow by meeting with sales, CS, product support, finance, and tech teams.
  • Create a visual map of our funds flow.
  • Review/take over health checks for accounts receivable.

Business Operations

  • Design a learning plan that will help you own compliance reporting and team training.
  • Establish SLAs and metrics that you will own for all health checks.

Objective #2: In your first 60 days, establish a cadence of efficient, repeatable product operational processes:

Product Operations

  • Review/take over health checks for accounting automation.

Business Operations

  • Shadow compliance reporting.
  • Own compliance internal team training.

Objective #3: In your first 90 days, you will fully own execution and SLAs around:

Product Operations

  • Fully own health checks for accounts receivable, cancellations, and accounting automation.

Business Operations

  • Fully own compliance quarterly and monthly reporting.
