Your role

We are seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to join our marketing team to help support our go-to-market function targeting independent agencies and brokerages. You will need to be comfortable wearing many hats, be detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

This role reports direct into the Marketing Lead and will be focused on growing brand awareness as well as top-of-funnel prospects for the sales team across press campaigns/outreach, events marketing, and content creation.

Responsibilities will include:

Objective #1: In the first 30 days, you will learn how Ascend helps insurance agencies and can communicate this to the industry

  • Develop a deep understanding of how Ascend delivers and adds value to our customers and the insurance industry
  • Manage the press outreach and content creation for contributed content, awards submissions, and press releases
  • Craft and coordinate the social media posts and content for Linkedin

Objective #2: In your first 60 days, you can organize and own our field marketing program

  • Organize and run our events program including conferences, hosted-events, webinars, and dinners for prospects as well as existing customers
  • Work cross-functionally with the sales and design team to ensure a best-in-class experience at our events
  • Know our customer - be able to not only coordinate events, but also run events in tandem with sales

Objective #3: In your first 90 days, you are measuring the results and understanding how to iterate and improve our marketing program

  • Be able to report back on the learnings, successes, and area of improvements for our conferences + events
  • Work cross-functionally to implement these improvements with the broader team
  • Connect all the touch points across social, press, and events to craft a consistent brand message for Ascend
