About the role:

 

Our pharma research team partners with global pharmaceutical and biotech clients to enable them to solve marketing, branding, advertising, and communications problems through a mixture of innovative qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.

 

A key part of our future growth strategy is to grow our business further in the US market.  This is a  leadership role which will bring strategic focus and drive growth for RP in the world’s leading healthcare market. The division is currently composed of around 40 researchers from early careers to VP-level, however our ambitions are high, and we are seeking an individual with the vision and drive to help us scale up the business significantly over the coming years. The role will report into Inizio Ignite’s Group President, Insights and the successful candidate will join the combined Inizio Ignite Insights global leadership team, with the opportunity to influence and guide the global strategic direction of the business.

 

Your primary role:

 

  • Leadership of the day-to-day operations and delivery of the P&L and Financial Targets for the US Pharma business unit as set and jointly agreed with the Group President, COO and CFO
  • Development and execution of the vision and growth strategy for the US Pharma business, unit, in consultation and agreement with the Group President and COO, and supporting our global strategic priorities
  • Motivating and leading the team, including setting performance management expectations, identifying training needs, development opportunities and providing coaching where required
  • Identifying and implementing the appropriate team shape and structure to support the US business, with full hiring and firing responsibilities
  • Identifying opportunities across the broader RP and Inizio ecosystem to maximize

synergies and build collaboration opportunities to facilitate growth

  • Using account management principles to guide the development of client growth strategies which lead to repeat business, deeper client relationships and new business wins
  • Identifying opportunities to remove complexity, drive efficiency, and increase profitability in order to accelerate growth
  • Contribute to the growth strategy for RP globally through active engagement and participation in the global leadership team and strategy discussions as guided by the Group President and COO

 

 

About You…

 

Your skills and experience:

 

  • Significant leadership experience in primary market research (qual and quant) within the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrable success in growing a primary research client-base, with significant personal sales capabilities plus leadership over other commercial activities
  • Experience driving growth and organization-wide revenue generation
  • Strong team leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing leaders and their teams
  • Hands-on expertise with both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
  • Comfortable with key P&L metrics and using business forecasting to drive investment decisions
  • Experience working in a matrix management environment and able to prioritise across competing priorities and stakeholders

Further information:

 

This is a full-time role. You can choose to work out of our NYC, SF or Yardley, PA (Philadelphia) office for as many days out of the week as you’d like or work remotely.

 

Compensation:

 

Salary Range Compensation: $250,000- $300,000 per year. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in NYC. The range listed may be just one component the total compensation package. This range may also differ based on the applicant’s geographic location and cost of living considerations.
