How You Will Make an Impact:

The EHS Manager, will assist the EHS Director in supporting and guiding the region to achieve the company’s health and safety objectives. Your role will involve providing assistance and instruction to all levels of management, safety personnel, and employees to reduce the frequency and severity of personal injuries, motor vehicle accidents, property damage, and environmental releases. You will audit safety efforts across the region, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety and health assessments, inspecting records, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Assist in identifying possible losses, evaluating risk exposure, developing and implementing corrective plans, and auditing their effectiveness.
  • Provide expertise in accident investigations to identify causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Recommend accident reduction goals and strategies based on analysis of reports and statistics.
  • Identify training needs, evaluate existing programs, and assist in implementing new training initiatives.
  • Contribute to site training plans, conduct employee orientations, emergency response training, and coordinate modular training programs for field activities.
  • Maintain communication with operations management, customer vendors, educational institutions, professional organizations, and governmental agencies.
  • Manage and oversee workers’ compensation cases, ensuring proper documentation, reporting and follow-up.
  • Attend customer safety meetings and interact with customer safety representatives to address safety concerns and ensure alignment with safety standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and work requirements.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science or a related field with three+ years of HSE experience, or two years of managerial/supervisory experience in the oilfield services industry, or a High School Diploma with 10+ years of occupational health and safety experience.
  • Safety Professional Certification such as OHST, CHST, SMS, ASP, or CSP is a plus.
  • Two+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the power generation, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Two+ years of experience in completions and experience working with or around gas turbines and high-pressure systems.
  • Understanding of applicable government laws, regulations, and reporting procedures (OSHA, MSHA, D.O.T.).
  • Knowledgeable in Safety Management Software.
  • Familiarity with Avetta, ISNetWorld, and PEC Veriforce safety compliance platforms.
  • Knowledge of the industry’s safety, training, and environmental standards and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of accident investigation and loss control techniques.
  • Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Clean motor vehicle record.
