Role Overview
The Global Website Operations & Development Lead is responsible for setting the global website vision and strategy, positioning the website as a core growth engine and customer engagement hub. This leader defines the long-term roadmap for functionality, design systems, tech stack evolution, experimentation, and performance optimization to support Atlas’ business and marketing objectives.
Overseeing critical performance metrics including conversion rates, traffic quality, site health, SEO performance, and user engagement, this role ensures the website experience is aligned with global marketing strategy and capable of scaling with the company’s ambitions
This leader partners closely with senior executives, UX/design, brand, product, content, and performance marketing to ensure the website represents Atlas’ global brand at the highest level. They also mentor and develop website and digital operations talent, fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and best-in-class user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the global website strategy and long-term roadmap, including architecture, design systems, navigation, UX, and performance optimization.
- Lead continuous improvement of the site’s functionality, technical foundation, and content operations to support global growth objectives.
- Oversee website performance and analytics, including conversion rates, traffic quality, load performance, SEO health, and behavioral engagement metrics.
- Partner with senior leadership to position the website as a strategic business driver and central destination for awareness, education, and conversion.
- Lead and mentor the global website, development, and digital operations teams, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with branding, creative, and product marketing to ensure the website consistently reflects the global brand, product messaging, and customer value propositions.
- Drive technical SEO, site performance enhancements, and programmatic automation across the website, landing pages, and integrated systems.
- Manage secure, scalable integrations with third-party services, APIs, analytics tools, and marketing technology platforms.
- Partner with performance marketing and analytics teams to design experiments, improve user journeys, and identify opportunities to increase conversion and pipeline generation.
- Maintain a comprehensive, executive-ready website performance dashboard, delivering insights and recommendations for continual optimization.
- Lead large-scale development initiatives in partnership with agencies, engineering partners, and internal technical teams.
- Contribute to marketing leadership forums, supporting long-term planning, prioritization, and unified customer journey development.
- Ensure that all website enhancements and operations adhere to industry best practices, accessibility standards, and security requirements.
Experience Requirements
- BS/MS degree in technology, marketing, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–9 years of proven experience in website management, full-stack or front-end development, digital operations, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale web development projects, SEO/SEM initiatives, and partnerships with agencies and technical partners.
- Strong experience with landing page optimization, user funnel design, and A/B or multivariate experimentation.
- Deep expertise with web analytics and management tools (Google Analytics, GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, CMS platforms, and modern web development constraints.
- Experience managing marketing tech stack integrations and collaborating across a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into insights, decisions, and executive recommendations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Passion for innovation, UX/UI excellence, and building frictionless, high-performing digital experiences.
