Atwell is seeking a Communications Manager with a passion for impactful storytelling and a strong background in Land Development, Power & Energy, -OR- Oil & Gas industries. This role will offer you the opportunity to shape and elevate our brand, working across multiple sectors while driving strategic communication initiatives that resonate both internally and externally.
As a key player in the Marketing & Communications team, you'll lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies, crafting messaging that enhances Atwell’s reputation, attracts top talent, and engages key stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with leadership, guide teams, and develop innovative communication solutions that align with our business objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership & Team Management
- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with business KPIs.
- Build lasting relationships with business operations to position the Communications Team as a trusted strategic partner.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of communications professionals.
- Drive resource allocation to ensure smooth execution of communications initiatives.
Content Management & Creation
- Oversee internal and external content, ensuring consistency with brand voice and key messaging.
- Create engaging content for a variety of platforms: intranet, website, social media, emailers, and more.
- Track and analyze communication campaigns to drive improvements and refine future strategies.
Corporate Communications
- Partner with leadership to evolve messaging and brand tone across the company.
- Manage communications related to Merger & Acquisition (M&A) efforts, ensuring seamless integration across channels.
- Lead executive communications, including town halls and business leadership meetings.
Media Relations
- Develop and implement media relations strategies to enhance Atwell’s public presence.
- Cultivate relationships with reporters and media outlets in AEC, Land Development, Power & Energy, and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Write and edit press releases, pitch stories, and manage media interviews to showcase our thought leaders.
Who You Are:
- Creative and innovative thinker who thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Experienced in communications, with 10+ years in public relations, journalism, or a related field, preferably with Land Development, Power & Energy, or Oil & Gas expertise.
- Proven leader with the ability to manage teams, mentor colleagues, and drive initiatives forward.
- Excellent communicator with strong writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms.
- Strategic and results-oriented with a keen ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in communications or public relations.
- Proven proficiency with digital content platforms (websites, social media, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- A background in Land Development, or Power & Energy is highly desirable.
