Marketing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Audax is hiring an experienced professional to help execute on the firm’s ongoing marketing and communications efforts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with strong writing skills, deep intellectual curiosity, and a keen eye for detail, who embraces a collaborative, team-based approach. We’re interviewing candidates with two to four years of experience, who is as interested in asset management as they are in marketing and public relations, and is eager to learn about the industry and develop their personal skillset as they grow in the role. This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities, initially, will be to provide back-up on day-to-day deliverables, inclusive of core Public Relations activities (drafting, vetting, distributing press releases, media monitoring, etc.), core marketing deliverables (graphic design and execution back-up on factsheet updates, social media posts, email marketing, website updates, etc.), and assistance on special projects (video production, ACF report, and other initiatives). Critically, the role would provide valuable bandwidth and coverage, through helping to steer deliverables through the vetting and versioning process all the way to completion, with an understanding of what success looks like, how to measure it, and how to continually improve.

Owned Media:

  • Assist in the development, vetting, distribution and upkeep of content and marketing collateral, including factsheets, social media posts, thought leadership, special reports, videos, digital graphics and other collateral to ensure consistency and alignment with branding and strategic positioning
  • Assist in the execution of the annual marketing calendar, coordinating and executing email and social campaigns and promoting firm activities to reach key stakeholders
  • Help to oversee and maintain Audax Private Equity websites to ensure information is up to date and accurate
  • Partner and collaborate with teams across the organization to assist on initiatives across talent, investor relations, and strategic resources groups
  • Assist with project tracking and other administrative tasks, working across teams to ensure projects are delivered on time

Earned Media: 

  • Assist in the development, vetting, and distribution of both firm press releases and announcements from our portfolio companies
  • Work with the VP of Marketing and Communications and our PR agency to respond in a timely manner to inbound media requests and track coverage
  • Monitor the media and trade press to track coverage and stay up to date on themes generating news in the media
  • Identify opportunities for engagement with key reporters and publications
  • Assist on data and analytics requests to ensure third parties are using accurate and complete data as part of their league table coverage

Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of invoices and vendor payments
  • Serve as day-to-day contact to external vendors including photographers, web developers, graphic designers, and other vendors
  • Manage database of visual assets and video content and support in-office and event photography and videography

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of communications / marketing experience, at an agency, fund or professional environment.
  • A committed team player with a passion and intellectual curiosity for asset management and business
  • Ability to multitask and work across teams and various projects
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver against tight deadlines
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite of design tools, including InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and similar software
  • Self starter with a growth mindset and acute attention to detail

  • Versed in Digital Marketing Tools / Design Software             
  • Some Communications / Marketing Experience             
  • Some Public Relations Experience
