Position Purpose      The Aircraft Mechanic Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction in assigned courses, ensuring that students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical applications in aircraft maintenance. In addition to teaching, the instructor manages essential administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, assessing student performance, and collaborating with faculty to enhance the curriculum. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes student success and prepares them for careers in the aviation industry.   Key Duties Provide engaging and effective teaching in aircraft maintenance principles while developing curricula that aligns with industry standards. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and offers individualized support to enhance student success. Oversee administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. This position ensures that the aircraft maintenance training program effectively prepares students for careers in aviation, aligning with industry standards and contributing to the overall success of the institution.   Job Responsibilities      Teach classes on a scheduled basis, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters student engagement and enhances learning in aircraft maintenance. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, and Campus Executive Director to develop and refine curriculum, prepare course materials, and schedule classes, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use. Establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records for each student, submitting attendance, grades, evaluations, and other documentation as required by institutional procedures. Proactively notify the Supervisor of any current or potential issues that require immediate attention and implement proven retention techniques to support student success. Complete assigned performance-based teacher education modules, participating in classroom observations and instructor evaluations, and responding to student feedback to enhance instructional effectiveness. Attend and/or lead in-service training sessions, faculty meetings, and other mandatory gatherings to ensure ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers. Assist in managing the inventory of department equipment and supplies, submitting replenishment requests to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed. Monitor student attendance closely, alerting the Supervisor to any absences, particularly at the first, third, and fifth occurrences, to address potential retention issues. Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the aircraft maintenance program. Required Qualifications     FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience) High School Diploma or GED Strong command of both theoretical and practical aspects of aircraft maintenance, with contemporary knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented educational setting. Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with the capability to multitask and perform well under pressure. Demonstrate a high level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and professionalism in all interactions. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service in an educational context. Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills. Position Purpose      The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the professional and career development of students and graduates by providing coaching in key areas such as resume writing, job search strategies, and interviewing best practices. This role also involves facilitating direct connections between students/graduates and employers, with the goal of assisting them in securing gainful, entry-level employment in fields related to their programs.     Key Duties  Develop and deliver workshops and individual coaching sessions on resume writing, job search techniques, and interview preparation. Establish and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and facilitate internship and employment placements for students. Track student progress and outcomes, providing ongoing support and resources to ensure successful career transitions. This position ensures that career services effectively support students in achieving their employment goals, aligning with institutional objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organization.   Job Responsibilities      Initiate contact with students to outline the goals and objectives of Career Services, ensuring they understand how we assist in securing job placement opportunities. Organize and facilitate professional and career development workshops and seminars that help students sharpen their skills and prepare for their chosen careers. Support recent graduates, alumni, and active students in career planning and job placement efforts, adhering to internal policies as well as state and federal regulations and accrediting agency standards. Actively participate in Career Development classes by conducting exit interviews with graduating students to gather feedback and insights. Plan and execute Career Fairs and Employer Events throughout the year, providing students with ample networking and job search opportunities. Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, industry experts, and professional organizations to create a robust pipeline to potential employers. Keep up-to-date with industry requirements and certifications to ensure that students and graduates are well-equipped to enter their fields and secure gainful employment. Organize and lead two Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings annually, engaging educators and industry experts to gather recommendations for program improvement; record and distribute meeting minutes. Utilize CampusNexus to document and track all communications related to student interactions, maintaining detailed records of their employment statuses and relevant documentation. Produce and present weekly, quarterly, and annual reports to assess and communicate career services effectiveness. Take part in commencement ceremonies and related activities to support graduating students. Maintain current job listings for active students and graduates to ensure they have access to available opportunities. Work with the Student Services Coordinator on G&E Chart confirmations and audits related to G&E and Cohort. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to support the overall mission of the Career Services department. Position Purpose The Financial Aid Officer manages and processes financial aid documentation for students, ensuring compliance with regulations. This role evaluates applications, guides students on financial resources, and facilitates access to funding for their educational goals. Key Duties Apply financial aid regulations, process applications accurately, and maintain up-to-date records. Provide exceptional support by explaining financial aid options and guiding students through the application process. Collaborate with departments to resolve issues and enhance the student experience, demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills. This position ensures the financial aid process effectively supports students in accessing funding, aligning with institutional goals and contributing to organizational success. Job Responsibilities Process financial aid documentation, including VA Education Benefits, Military Tuition Assistance, and scholarships, ensuring students have funds for tuition. Monitor FAFSA submissions and ISIR receipts, maintaining accurate records and completing timely verification for selected files. Track Master Promissory Notes (MPNs) via COD and conduct entrance and exit loan counseling sessions for students. Stay updated on financial aid regulations to ensure compliance, regularly review incomplete student files, and disburse funds only when eligible. Monitor student accounts for proper financial aid packaging and oversee cash flow for timely funding disbursement. Meet with incoming students to explain available aid options and necessary documentation, providing ongoing support and referring them for academic advising as needed. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Campus Director of Compliance & Administration, Campus Assistant Director, or Campus Executive Director. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, plus financial aid experience. College coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new financial aid software. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling management of multiple tasks and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment. Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment, engaging with a diverse college student population and contributing to a supportive campus culture. Must not be in default on federal student loans, reflecting a commitment to financial accountability and integrity in managing student aid. Strong dedication to providing excellent customer service, ensuring students receive timely and informative support throughout the financial aid process.
