Axle is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Administrator to work in our Rockville, MD office. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational integrity, minimizing risk, and supporting successful partnerships across our organization.

Overview:
The Contracts Administrator supports the full contract lifecycle from proposal support to contract administration/management and closeout for a portfolio of complex government contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where your expertise will directly support groundbreaking work in science, research, healthcare, and technology.
Responsibilities:

Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of contractual documents, including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Prime/Subcontracts, and Vendor Agreements.

Create and maintain accurate contract records in contract management database, ensuring data integrity in accordance with corporate policy and federal contracting requirements.

Ensure all contract actions are executed in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

Prepare documentation and assist and/or lead prime contract/task order kickoff meetings with internal program personnel.

Monitor subcontractor and vendor compliance, performance, and deliverables.

Assist with managing contract management tools and identify areas of improvement for automation where applicable.

Support ongoing internal audits, reporting, and other contract-related initiatives as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience managing federal government contracts.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS).
- Hands-on experience with various contract types (T&M, FFP, Cost-Reimbursable, etc.).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey contract terms and implications to stakeholders.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; experience with contract lifecycle management tools is a plus.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
