Brief team/department description:
The Associate Director Media Excellence will be a part of the Digital Innovation and Marketing Operations Team (DIMO) and report to the head of DIMO. DIMO’s mission is to drive digital transformation within the commercial organization that is rooted in continual enhancements focused on a digital-first mindset, which uses a test & learn culture while balancing operational effectiveness and personalized omni channel customer engagement supporting Azurity’ s commitment to ACE (Azurity Commercial Excellence), as we Serve Overlooked Patients.
As Associate Director Media Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing Azurity’s Media strategy. The Associate Director of Media Excellence will manage the media agency AOR and lead the strategic development, execution, and optimization of omnichannel media campaigns in partnership with the brand leads and the AOR. This role will serve as the enterprise-wide subject matter expert in media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand strategic imperatives and regulatory compliance while driving innovation and measurable impact. Principle Responsibilities:
Strategic Media Planning: Lead the development and execution of omnichannel media strategies to achieve brand and corporate goals.
Agency and Team Management: Manage the media agency AOR and overseeing the work of one media manager to ensure effective media buying and campaign execution.
Innovation and Compliance: Driving innovation in media strategy while ensuring compliance with pharma industry regulations, fair balance, internal standards and best practices. Analyze campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to optimize ROI and inform future investment decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Teamwork: Partner with brand teams to understand and support brands strategic imperatives. Foster seamless collaboration between marketing and PMRC to ensure a cohesive and unified approach to media related content and tactics.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BA or BS degree (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
- Minimum of 6-8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech and/or life science related digital marketing experience (Agency experience welcome)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in media strategy and planning
- Experience working with digital agencies and offshore internal and external partners
- Deep understanding of DTC and HCP media landscapes, including omnichannel planning and execution.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in media performance measurement and optimization.
