Our Ways of Working

Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, and achieve results —together, from anywhere.

Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH  to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.

What the Role Is

As a On-Site Recruiter focused on hourly hiring, you’ll support full-cycle recruiting for our Commercial Point, OH fulfillment center, bringing in the team members, leads, trainers, and drivers who power Babylist’s operations. This is an on-the-ground, relationship-driven role where you’ll work closely with fulfillment leadership and local communities to build a steady pipeline of qualified candidates. You’ll drive 15–30 hires per month using Greenhouse, Slack, Google Suite, and AI-powered tools, getting creative with sourcing through job fairs, referral campaigns, and partnerships with workforce development organizations. This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role for someone who’s self-directed, knows how to prioritize, and collaborates effectively with fulfillment leadership, the Talent Team,Talent Ops, and the People Team.

This role may not be a fit if your recent experience is primarily remote, corporate, or tech recruiting—we need someone who’s been on-site in warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities within the last 3 years.

If you thrive in hourly recruiting, enjoy working face-to-face with teams, and love building community connections, this role will energize you. You’ll be fully on-site for the first 90 days, then transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite).

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of recent experience in on-site, high-volume hourly recruiting, with a track record of hiring 15–30+ team members per month in warehouse, manufacturing, or similar physical environments
  • You've worked on-site in operations environments recently—you've walked warehouse floors, built relationships with ops leaders, hosted on-site hiring events, and understand the dynamics of physical work environments (not coordinating remotely)
  • Comfortable working as the primary on-site recruiter - you're self-directed, resourceful, and don't need constant oversight to stay productive and focused
  • Experienced using Greenhouse (or similar ATS), Slack, and Google Suite, with the organizational habits to manage dozens of active candidates at once
  • Comfortable using AI daily: not just familiar, but truly integrating tools like ChatGPT or Claude.ai into your sourcing, scheduling, and messaging workflows to work smarter and faster
  • Creative and resourceful sourcer who builds pipelines through community outreach, job fairs, partnerships, and referrals—not just job board posts
  • Confident collaborator who can navigate reporting into a primarily remote Talent team while partnering closely with People Operations on-site -you know how to prioritize your own work, but you're also the kind of teammate who shows up when support is needed, while keeping things moving on your end
  • You think like a true recruiting partner - proactive, curious, grounded in execution, and able to plug into an existing vision without needing to take over
  • Equally comfortable connecting with hourly team members and senior leaders—you show up with confidence, warmth, and respect in every conversation
  • You bring approachability, sound judgment, and a grounded presence—people find it easy to work with you, trust your instincts, and feel like you "get it"
  • You've supported warehouse, manufacturing, or similar hourly environments on-site within the last 3 years—you understand the dynamics of physical operations and what great looks like in those roles
  • A thoughtful communicator who's clear, concise, and adapts your style to different audiences and settings
  • You keep momentum moving, even when the path isn't fully mapped—you ask smart questions, take action, and stay focused on solutions
  • Respected by peers and hiring managers for your positive presence, reliability, and ability to follow through
  • Comfortable being fully on-site for your first 90 days, then continuing with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week on-site)
  • You're comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations. You embrace technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly roles in our Columbus fulfillment center, including warehouse team members, leads, trainers, and driver positions, and occasionally floor leadership roles (supervisors, team leads) depending on workload
  • Help drive 15–30 hires per month by managing pipelines, scheduling interviews, and keeping the process moving quickly and smoothly
  • Execute grassroots sourcing strategies—from job fairs and referral campaigns to partnerships with community organizations and local workforce development programs
  • Maintain a strong candidate pipeline: keeping active candidates engaged and organized so we're ready when roles open, not scrambling
  • Partner with FC hiring managers and leaders (from Supervisors to SVPs) to clarify needs, set priorities, and align on what "great" looks like
  • Work closely with our external staffing agency to ensure alignment on role requirements, candidate quality, and hiring timelines—serving as a key partner in scaling hiring through both internal and external channels
  • Collaborate seamlessly across teams: report into the Talent team while building a strong partnership with the People Operations team on-site, balancing both relationships to drive results
  • Partner with Talent Ops to streamline workflows, improve automation, and track recruiting metrics
  • Deliver a warm, responsive candidate experience, especially for hourly applicants who are evaluating multiple opportunities and need fast, clear communication
  • Be an embedded, trusted partner onsite as the primary recruiter, balancing hustle with empathy and professionalism
  • Use AI daily: tools like ChatGPT or Claude.ai help you draft candidate communications, build sourcing plans, and automate repetitive tasks—freeing you up to think bigger and move faster

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
