Our mission is to empower families and their children, from birth to age five, by providing access to high-quality early years learning opportunities that nurture the parent-child bond.

The need for support in early childhood development has never been more critical. Babyzone is a charity funded by foundations, philanthropists and trusts, including global venture builder Blenheim Chalcot.

We serve families who struggle to access support elsewhere—due to financial, geographic, or cultural barriers—by offering free, evidence-based classes and resources in premium, fully accessible community hubs. With seven Babyzone centres open across the UK and ambitious plans for growth, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our 8th Babyzone in Grimsby.

The Opportunity

As Head of Babyzone Grimsby, you will lead the launch and daily operations of this brand-new Babyzone, helping to transform the lives of hundreds of families in the area. You will:

• Set up and lead a small local team
• Deliver high-quality early years classes and family engagement activities
• Build relationships with families, local stakeholders, and funders
• Ensure the Babyzone offering is safe, consistent and impactful
• Collaborate with Babyzone Heads across the UK and central team
• This is a leadership role with hands-on delivery elements, perfect for someone passionate about early years and community engagement.

 

What You’ll Need

• We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a passion for early years development and Babyzone’s mission
• Is an excellent people-person, with empathy and energy
• Has experience working with families and young children
• Can manage a small team and juggle a variety of tasks
• Is based in or near Grimsby
• Ideally, has a background in teaching or early childhood development
• Enjoys part-time, flexible working that fits around other life commitments

 

Role Details

• Salary: depending on experience
• Contract: Term-time only
• Hours: 2 days per week 
• Location: Babyzone Grimsby + occasional travel to London office or partner Youth Zone
• Start Date: September 2025
