Senior Manager of Software Development

We’re now looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development to join our Stockholm team. This is a key leadership role for someone ready to scale teams, shape architecture, and drive strategy across multiple high-impact products.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Manager of Software Development, you will lead one or two team(s) of very senior engineers and help shape the future of our platform. From scaling backend systems to building efficient, collaborative workflows, you’ll play a central role in turning product vision into reality.

• Lead and mentor engineers and teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high-quality delivery
• Own system architecture and technical direction for our backend and infrastructure
• Guide the design and development of scalable APIs and backend systems powering our products
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow leaders to define roadmaps and priorities
• Champion best practices in code quality, performance, security, and reliability
• Oversee agile processes, sprint planning, and cross-functional team coordination
• Manage incident response and ensure smooth production operations across environments
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for smart, forward-thinking solutions

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience leading development teams in a SaaS or product-driven environment
• Strong background in backend development (e.g., Python, Go) and distributed system design
• Expertise in API development, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and CI/CD workflows
• Solid knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing agile methodologies at scale
• Excellent leadership and communication skills—able to inspire teams and align tech with product goals
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for building powerful, user-focused software
