What We Are Looking For:
The People Services Manager works closely with a Sr. Director/Director of People Services to serve as strategic business partner to the departments they work with. They will support the development and execution of people programs that help employees grow and thrive. They’ll work closely with other People Services teams to implement initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance employee experience, and support organizational goals. Key responsibilities include staffing support, program administration, and providing guidance to managers in day-to-day people management. The People Services Manager ensures documentation, processes, and programs are executed effectively while contributing to areas such as compensation and career progression. This role provides coaching to managers and supports the business at a tactical level, while gaining exposure to strategic initiatives through partnership with senior leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Establishes, develops, and maintains a strong partnership and relationship with team members to support the effectiveness of the organization.
- Serves as a liaison and advocate between the departments, other Business Partners, and other People Services teams (L&D, Recruiting, Compensation, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with the Business Partner team to ensure effective delivery of people-focused programs. Understand department goals and coordinate the people programs with the People Services functional areas and locations.
- Maintains accurate and confidential employee records to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Works closely with and advises leadership, assisting managers in coaching employees for professional development and performance management.
- Supports Learning and Development create and facilitate training programs that contribute to the growth and development of Bandmates. Ensures effective People service delivery, coordinating with corporate and regional teams, particularly at sites without People Services on-site presence.
- Partners closely with Director/Sr. Director of People Service to support strategic development, long-range people development, department planning, staffing initiatives, talent management, compensation and rewards, organizational effectiveness, team development, employee relations, performance management, and recognition programs.
- Assists in guiding leaders through conflict resolution, employee relations issues, and the application of People policies, procedures, and practices.
- Works in a normal office environment with occasional travel required.
What You Need:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or similar concentration
- Experience: 1–2 years of human resources experience (either generalist, recruiting, employee relations, compensation etc)
- Skills:
- Hands-on recruiting experience or business coaching
- Familiarity with training and compensation/career progression programming
- Functional knowledge of business unit operations, structure and work processes. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Thrive in a changing environment and deal with ambiguity. Competent in managing multiple projects simultaneously across diverse functions, sites, and countries
- Knowledge of human resources processes, procedures, and practices
- Working knowledge of equal employment principles, concepts and methodology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community and in a confidential manner
- Demonstrated ability to develop high credibility
- Ability to consult with and advise business unit managers and employees on their HR-related issues and to engage the appropriate internal or external resources in order to resolve problems or answer questions
- Ability to understand the business and issues relevant to the business segments supported
- Skilled in examining operations and procedures, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Excellent computer, analytical, and organizational skills
- Work closely with others as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task
- Leverage relationships and drive change
