Learning and Development Specialist

This exciting role is within our Learning & Development Department, where the L&D Specialist will be supporting and working collaboratively with our growing team to proactively meet learning needs across the organization. The L&D Specialist will be integral in setting new hires up for success and maintaining BDA’s Learning Management System (LMS). As a member of the L&D team, the Specialist will serve as a trusted resource to BDA associates, modeling the Core Values, displaying respect, and promoting our company’s positive, diverse, and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Learn, maintain, and act as point person for the Adobe LMS, including, but not limited to the following:
- User set up and/or updates
- Management of learning content, course uploads, material uploads, course assignments, completion tracking and reporting
- Data integrity auditing
- Facilitate user training
- Create and maintain the L&D calendar and scheduling, sharing with stakeholders and publishing on the team SharePoint site
- Assist in development and production of learning materials and programs for virtual and in-person learning initiatives
- Provide project coordination, logistical oversight, and administrative support to sustain high quality and dynamic program activities
- Develop and maintain electronic file systems to house and organize L&D materials, SOPs, and Job Aids
- Support internal communications for learning initiatives across BDA
- Perform all current and forthcoming new hire administrative processes, ensuring that new hires have a smooth welcome and transition to BDA. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- BDA New Hire Credentials
- BDA Onboarding E-mails
- Update Admin Tracker
- Submit requests for access
- Build and provide weekly and monthly reports using available in-house platforms.
- Proactively communicate to stakeholders any upcoming requirements where courses are due to expire or retraining is needed, ensure that refresher training is coordinated in a timely manner.
- Monitor upcoming new hire schedules and training calendar to alert the team of conflicts or issues before they arise.
- Conduct follow up learning needs assessments to evaluate learning retention
- Develop and/or update Job Aids as needed, notifying affected teams of changes for retraining, cataloging accurately, and publishing appropriately.
- Collaborate with Business Analytics to develop a L&D project request / ticketing system for training projects, monitor submissions, and bring to team for discussion and prioritization during weekly meetings.
- Support Learning and Development team initiatives
- Facilitate learning content where applicable
- Track and establish KPIs to measure acumen and retention
Experience/Training/Education/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Learning and Development role preferred, but not required
- Professional certification within L&D preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience working in a multitask environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Utilize L&D systems and platforms to execute on assigned projects
- Curiosity, possessing the ability to investigate and comprehend complexities and distill into a simpler view
- Ability to see the “big picture” in scope and perspective while being detail oriented in project completion
Working Conditions/Other:
- Required to use a desktop or laptop regularly
- Flexibility in schedule possible to accommodate L&D needs in different time zones
- Travel not expected nor required
