Our team also loves to win…a lot.
Job Description:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop Long-Form Proposals: Write detailed, clear, and compelling proposals (often 40+ pages) that effectively communicate our services and business solutions to potential clients.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with cross-functional teams to gather insights and contributions from subject matter experts (SMEs), ensuring proposals are informed, strategic, and accurate.
Client-Centric Storytelling: Write proposals that reflect a deep understanding of client needs and use persuasive, clear language to demonstrate how BDA’s solutions will meet and exceed their expectations.
Analyze and strategize: Research potential clients, competitive landscapes, and market trends to craft proposals that set us apart in high-stakes, competitive environments.
Develop Impactful Visuals and Presentations: Collaborate with design teams to create visually compelling presentations and web comps that enhance the storytelling and effectively communicate our offerings.
Manage Multiple Projects: Navigate multiple priorities and timelines, staying organized and focused to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and impact.
Flexibility for New Business Development Deadlines: To meet key deadlines, this role occasionally requires working outside of typical hours. We share this for transparency, so it’s not a surprise if hired. However, during slower periods, we’re flexible with time off to help balance high-demand times.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
Proven Success in Persuasive Business Writing: Minimum two years’ experience in developing proposals, grants, or RFPs with a demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers, ideally with experience in securing high-dollar contracts ($1M+).
Passion for Long-Form Business Proposals: A love for crafting detailed, engaging proposals that capture attention from the first page to the last—ideally up to 40+ pages, with a focus on keeping readers fully engaged throughout.
Client-First Perspective: Able to interpret client needs and translate them into compelling business cases, balancing BDA’s strategic priorities with a deep understanding of what resonates with clients.
Track Record in Proposal Ownership or Extreme Organizational Skills: Experience managing all stages of the proposal process, from initial intake to final delivery, is ideal; however, if your experience hasn’t allowed you this type of experience, the ability to manage a multitude of deliverables across multiple concurrent projects, with competing delivery dates this can transfer easily.
Collaborative and Adaptable: Skilled in gathering input across teams, including executives, sales leaders, and technical experts, to inform proposals, with the flexibility to pivot as needed.
Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication: Exceptional skill in tailoring language to various audiences, using the client’s voice and addressing their priorities, with a flair for storytelling that resonates.
Attention to Detail and Organization: Highly organized with an eye for detail, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and that every delivery aligns with both client and company standards. However, if RFPs are a newer term for you, if you are keen to detail, this is a skillset one would have an opportunity to grow into.
Strategic Insight and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze market and competitive data to enhance proposal relevance, coupled with sound judgment for crafting narratives that win.
Important to note: Please Know that we’ll ask for Samples of Previous writings (required) at a certain stage of our interview process.
