
Team Lead – Accounts Payable Team

What you will do:
Operations & Process Optimization:
- Oversee end-to-end AP processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage payment runs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Monitor and improve AP workflow automation, monitor overdue payable, ensuring efficiency in invoice approvals and payment processing.
- Lead vendor account management, ensuring accurate master data and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities for AP, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Manage workload distribution, set performance targets, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team expertise in SAP S/4HANA, and AP best practices.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for escalations related to invoice processing, payments, and vendor queries.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Procurement, Finance, Treasury, IT, Compliance) to optimize AP processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms and policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and tax laws.
What we are looking for:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in OFFICE 365 aps, SAP GUI or S/4HANA for AP processes, including payment runs, invoice management, and master data handling.
- Experience with automated payment processes, vendor management, and reconciliation procedures is a plus.
- Ability to analyze DSO, aging reports, and implement strategies for cash flow optimization.
Soft Skills & Leadership:
- Strong team management, coaching, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
