ABOUT THE ARTS & CULTURE TEAM
The Arts & Culture team focuses on clients that will shape the future of New York and beyond -- from the built environment and design of the future, to the cultural institutions that make our city one of the most dynamic and exciting urban environments on Earth. We are working in partnership with some of the most forward-looking institutions in and around NYC, including the New Museum, Storm King, Queens Museum, Princeton University Art Museum, BAM, Lincoln Center, 92NY, The Juilliard School and the Brooklyn Public Library, among many others.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
BerlinRosen is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team. You will help lead daily client relations, plan and execute day-to-day project deliverables, support and mentor junior staff and conceptualize strategies, pitches and media placements. This role not only leads the day-to-day work, but sees around the corners to anticipate clients’ needs and quickly assess the strongest team approach to meet them. You will also work closely with client leads and internal staff and develop and advance strategy with senior leaders. This is a great opportunity if you want to develop and grow media relationships and understanding, and have a passion for cities, arts and culture.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Arts & Culture team is in-office 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As a Senior Account Executive on the Arts & Culture team, you will…
- Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accounts
- Manage clients daily
- Engage with key reporters and editors
- Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos, communications plans and media pitches
- Participate in business development opportunities
- Manage internal client teams and mentor junior staff
Essential skills:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in communications in the arts and culture industry with a PR agency, media outlet or in-house communications team
- Understanding of the art world and a demonstrated personal interest in visual and performing arts
- Demonstrated relationships with reporters and strong news sense
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients, the media, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience working with a team to meet group objectives
WORKING AT BERLINROSEN
Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $80,000-$95,000
