About the Job 

Blackbird is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for bringing new products, features, and campaigns to life. You will work closely with the other marketing leads and the business and product leaders to drive our overall marketing strategy and long term growth of our key products and business.  

The ideal candidate for this role has experience in product marketing, growth marketing, understanding of acquisition and retention tactics. This candidate must be data and business savvy, and be a master of creative thinking and strategy. The ideal candidate is resourceful, creative, and results-oriented with a clear mastery of both the art and science of product marketing.

Responsibilities 

  • As our first Product Marketing hire, you will have the exciting opportunity to build the Product Marketing function at Blackbird working cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, Go To Market and Marketing
  • Develop the value proposition and messaging framework for each of our core products and features
  • Responsible for the development and execution of Blackbird’s product marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Develop and lead successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns
  • Analyze and identify the right consumer segments
  • Deeply understand our user base, and synthesize key insights, analytics, and competitive intelligence to help inform product positioning, value props, and go to market strategies 
  • Create and own the marketing calendar and communicate key updates to the marketing team and other key stakeholders
  • Serve as both copywriter and copy editor for all core assets, ensuring clarity, simplicity, and effectiveness in messaging
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years in PMM experience in consumer tech
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ship great campaigns
  • Data driven approach to growth and decision making
  • Ability to execute independently and with urgency 
  • Strong understanding of the mobile app market and experience marketing consumer-facing digital products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and effectively present ideas
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate optimally at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset – hard-working, thorough, organized, and motivated self-starter
  • Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environment
  • Experience at an early stage startup and a passion for restaurants a bonus

Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000
