About the Role
As a Blackbird Behavioral Health Department Manager, you will:
Provide leadership for a behavioral health team under the direction of the Director, Behavioral Health Services . You will provide insights and trends to other members of the department, facilitate weekly individual and/or group clinical supervision, and deliver excellent clinical care to a client caseload. Other manager responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Oversee the day to day clinical operations of Blackbird’s Langhorne PA clinic
- Supervise therapists’ to ensure Blackbird quality standards are met or exceeded
- Ensure therapists are meeting productivity and caseload standards by supporting their ability to build, manage and maintain their schedules
- Manage therapists’ PTO use according to departmental procedures and policies
- Provide training of therapists’ on job responsibilities, workflow, clinical policies, clinical model, and documentation standards
- Monitor and provide ongoing education to therapists as needed to support understanding of clinical model, clinical policies, and documentation standards
- Deliver excellent care to patients, maintaining ~20 patient-facing hours per week.
- Address patient and family concerns as needed, including direct outreach to patients and families and coaching of clinicians as necessary
- Partner with Human Resources to document and address any clinician-specific performance issues
- Identify and escalate any needs of the clinic and on-site team - e.g., space constraints, technology constraints, schedule constraints) to ensure high employee engagement
- Work with the Director of Behavioral Health and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and retention of therapist talent
- Provide clinical supervision for prelicensure staff (if applicable)
- Attain goals as outlined in the company and individual annual objective and key results (OKR) document
- Meet with pediatric practices and physicians locally to develop relationships for patient referrals
About You

- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to data-driven decision-making
- Strong communication, advocacy, and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs, information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
- Schedule flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adjust to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical and leadership teams
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for master level clinicians
- Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment
Qualifications:
- Hold at least a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
- Have an active LPC, LCSW or LMFT license in Pennsylvania
- Hold Pennsylvania license to practice psychotherapy, which includes maintaining all necessary continuing education requirements
- 3 years' experience as a licensed therapist
- Ability to supervise pre-licensed therapists working towards licensure.
- Maintain all current licensure required to perform the job
- Complete trainings recommended as per the individual development plan (IDP)
- Attain goals as outlined in the company and individual annual objective and key results (OKR) document
- Be on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
*The target range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors, including licensure, experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
