ABOUT THE FLOCK
As a member of the Sales and Qualified Treatment Center (QTC) Account Team, you will work alongside a team of committed birds driven to make a profound impact on people living with rare diseases through our mission of establishing gene therapy as a meaningful option for patients.
The Qualified Treatment Center Account Lead (QTAL) will have primary accountability for managing their business within their territory and driving the utilization of bluebird’s approved gene therapies within their QTC accounts. The QTAL will achieve these goals through the development and execution of strategic account plans, dynamic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, identifying key drivers for business performance, and education of bluebird’s gene therapy to HCPs and other key account stakeholders to drive the identification of appropriate patients.
HOW YOU’LL FLY
You’ll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Delivering approved education, messages, and tools about bluebird’s gene therapy products to a broad set of QTC stakeholders, including HCPs and other key decision makers to drive product utilization
- Building and implementing strategic account plans for assigned QTCs to advance account business objectives, patient identification, and pull through of appropriate patients for bluebird’s gene therapies
- Identifying barriers within the account and collaborating with bluebird cross-functional colleagues, including but not limited to Apheresis Operations, Patient Supply, Patient Educators, Market Access, and Medical Affairs, to deploy solutions to address the account’s needs
- Engage with community-based HCPs focused on hemoglobinopathies to educate on disease state, unmet needs, and bluebird’s gene therapies
- Serving as the main point of contact for assigned accounts to coordinate the QTC activation process to onboard HCPs, apheresis, cell therapy labs, transplant coordinators, pharmacy, and reimbursement leads within the QTC.
- Providing customer insights and feedback to bluebird leadership regarding account business trends, performance, business issues, and opportunities.
- Maintaining expertise in Hemoglobinopathies, including Sickle Cell Disease, Transfusion-dependent B-thalassemia, bluebird’s gene therapy products, and gene therapy treatment process,
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry and a high performance track record
- Direct line leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in specialty therapeutic areas such as Hematology, CAR T, or Cell and Gene Therapy
- Strong account management experience within hospitals, IDNs, ACOs, and/or organized customers; Strong clinical selling experience is a must (high level of clinical and selling acumen)
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong problem-solving skills for business management of territory
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, applying a consultative approach to establish and sustain a strong network with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proficient with MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Field Force Effectiveness tools (e.g. Veeva)
Location: Southern California, Colorado & Utah
Travel up to 50-75% for customer meetings and national company meetings
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $$230,000.00 - $260,000.00. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as paid holidays, bluebird days, and a holiday shutdown in December.
