This role is pivotal in driving the technical direction of your crypto wallet initiatives, ensuring that engineering solutions align with business goals and industry best practices.
Who you are:
- Blockchain Fundamentals: Deep understanding of blockchain technology, including consensus mechanisms, cryptographic principles, and decentralized networks.
- Programming Proficiency: Experience with programming languages relevant to blockchain development, such as GoLang, Ruby, or JavaScript (e.g., TypeScript with frameworks like Nest.js).
- System Architecture: Proven ability to design and optimize scalable, secure, and efficient systems, particularly in the context of blockchain or financial applications.
What will set you up for success:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in cryptocurrency development.
- Experience: Extensive experience (7+ years) in software engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects in fast-paced environments.
- Blockchain Proficiency: Demonstrated experience as a Blockchain Engineer (2+ years), with portfolio examples of successful smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), or blockchain protocols.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in crypto development, such as Go, Solidity, Rust, or Python.
- System Design: Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and cloud-based architecture.
- Security Focus: Solid understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, token standards, and smart contract security best practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical for debugging contract logic and transactional issues.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, essential for collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a rapidly evolving crypto landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to mentor and grow junior engineers while promoting best practices across teams.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with blockchain technology or other emerging trends in software engineering.
