Product Marketing Leader

Role Overview:

At Boom Supersonic, our mission is to make the world dramatically more accessible through supersonic flight. We’re looking for a highly motivated Head of Product Marketing to drive brand awareness and credibility and help build a new era of high-speed travel.

Reporting to the SVP of Product Marketing and Customer, the Head of Product Marketing will be responsible for leading and overseeing the strategy development, implementation and execution of the marketing plan with a small team of 2-3 direct reports. This person will lead product marketing roadmaps, communication plans, and execution of tactics with a focus on digital, social, content and events. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in creating engaging content for a B2B2C audience, driving awareness and credibility across multiple channels, measuring results and optimizing performance. This position requires strategic thinking, creativity, collaboration cross-functionally to deliver marketing objectives, management of multiple projects at the same time, and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect Boom’s business goals into actionable marketing and communications strategies that defines and achieves the company’s objectives
  • Develop marketing and product positioning strategies that highlight the product benefits and drive brand awareness and credibility with target B2B2C audiences, especially within investment, government and aviation industries 
  • Lead execution of marketing communication across channels including social media, email/newsletter, blog, website, events, public relations and influencers
  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning with the brand as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with our Head of Design and design team to develop marketing materials (e.g. concepts, email newsletters, social, events etc.)
  • Identify and develop relationships with the media and key influencers, advancing the company position with relevant constituents
  • Understand the needs of target audiences to create a positive user experience across platforms
  • Collaborate with the Head of Design and engineering teams to develop the product marketing roadmap and uncover storytelling opportunities
  • Measure performance and identify opportunities to drive marketing effectiveness especially within digital and social channels 
  • Lead and generate insight and analysis of the category, industry, customer/airlines, consumer and key stakeholders (government)

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years marketing experience with a proven track record of building brands, creating bold marketing strategies and targeting B2B2C audiences
  • This position requires strategic thinking, creativity, collaboration cross-functionally to deliver marketing objectives, management of multiple projects at the same time, and high attention to detail.
  • Experience developing compelling brand and product marketing strategy grounded in consumer and customer insights
  • Deep experience in digital and content strategy (social, website, email, etc.)
  • Analytical skills to measure and opti mize performance across digital and social channels  
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to convey strategy effectively to colleagues and leadership
  • A result-oriented problem solver and strategic thinker, with a strong bias for action 
  • High emotional intelligence, a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong business understanding and ownership for driving business growth
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, pivot with changing dynamics and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and editorial skills
  • High quality bar and attention to detail

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in a fast-space, high growth startup environment and/or aerospace industry
  • Expertise in both B2B and B2C audiences

Compensation

The Base Salary Range for this position is $217,000 - $275,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives/equity, an open PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
