The Role:
As a Senior Account Executive on the North American Bank Sales Team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Bottomline’s portfolio of Commercial Banking Solutions to an assigned list of banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs).
Your success will hinge on three critical capabilities:

Developing a deep understanding of Bottomline’s commercial banking solutions and how they help financial institutions acquire and grow customer relationships, deposits, and revenue streams.

Leading large, strategic sales pursuits by applying a disciplined, best-practice-driven sales methodology.

Collaborating with internal teams and prospective clients to build compelling business cases that highlight the competitive advantages and tangible value of Bottomline’s solutions.
How You’ll Contribute:

Build and execute a detailed territory plan to drive business results

Develop a robust pipeline of new opportunities while managing and closing existing prospects.

Create individual account strategies to effectively penetrate and grow targeted accounts.

Develop a deep understanding of each targeted account’s business drivers, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Engage senior executive decision-makers to uncover business needs and demonstrate Bottomline’s value.

Present, communicate, and demonstrate Bottomline’s solutions with clarity and impact.

Build and nurture relationships at multiple levels within client organizations.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive, tailored value propositions to prospects.

Negotiate contracts efficiently to achieve successful outcomes aligned with forecasted timelines.

Maintain accurate, timely updates in Salesforce/CRM to ensure transparency and reporting accuracy.
If you have the attributes, skills, and experience listed below, we want to hear from you:

6–8 years of experience selling to banks and financial institutions; experience selling payment solutions is highly preferred.

Proven success leading high-value (TCV of $3M+), long-cycle (12–24 months) strategic sales to business and IT decision-makers.

Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to craft and present a clear, compelling ROI business case.

Ability to effectively position long-term strategic solutions against competitive offerings.

Outstanding organizational skills, with experience managing cross-functional collaboration with teams like Product, Delivery, and Legal.

Strong negotiation abilities and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a professional, persuasive presence.

A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in competitive, high-value environments.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
