In This Role
You will be part of a cutting-edge technology operations team, directly supporting the launch and maintenance of next-generation test facilities. This is a hands-on installer role focused on building and maintaining critical network, server, and low-voltage systems that power innovative research and development projects. The position offers the chance to work with advanced infrastructure in a high-visibility environment, while ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, low voltage, and air conditioning systems

Install, service, and maintain:

Network/server racks and cabinets
-
Sound and audio systems
-
Video systems
-
Fiber optic cabling and systems
-
Telephone and data systems
-
Computer systems integration
-

Operate or learn to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift)

Monitor and respond promptly to safety and security issues
-
Test, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance products and solutions
-
Coordinate deliveries and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers

Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and recurring issues
-
Track and manage inventory of supplies, including fiber and copper cable, tools, and hardware

Mentor and train junior staff as needed
Required Qualifications
-
Valid Washington State electrical limited energy 06 license
-
5–7 years of field experience, with minimum 3 years in installing and maintaining network and telecommunication equipment

Strong organizational and documentation skills (minimum 3 years)

Strong verbal and written communication skills (minimum 3 years)

High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade coursework a plus)

Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and perform physically demanding work

Fully available for onsite work
Preferred Qualifications

General building maintenance and repair experience
-
Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards

Experience with fire alarm and access control systems

Flexibility for after-hours or emergency maintenance response

Valued certifications (not required):

HVAC 06A License
-
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

Certified Manager of Maintenance/Properties (CMM/CMP)

Building Operator Certification (BOC)

Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) / Administrator (SMA)

Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $84,000 to $94,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
