We are looking for a Sr. UX/CX Designer to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.
In this role, you will play a strategic role shaping large-scale, end-to-end customer experiences. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate NorthStar experience visions, transform research insights into actionable design artifacts, and guide teams toward customer-centric solutions. This role blends design strategy, experience research, storytelling, and hands-on creation using modern design tools. You will help deliver connected, persuasive, and future-focused experiences that support enterprise-level customers and emerging AI initiatives within a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to create alignment and enthusiasm for future-state customer experiences.
- Apply a prescribed design system (content templates, UI controls, navigation models, visual standards, icons, etc.).
- Conceptualize and deliver design artifacts at multiple levels of fidelity.
- Create visual deliverables such as:
- Storyboards
- Creative briefs
- Wireframes
- Journey maps
- Personas
- Customer jobs/scenarios
- Task flows
- Use digital and physical tools to demonstrate and test design concepts with stakeholders and customers.
- Build strong partnerships to drive a persuasive, outside-in, customer-centric approach for large-scale, connected experiences.
- Synthesize customer insights and compare them with qualitative/quantitative data to identify deeper, systemic issues.
- Present and defend solutions clearly and succinctly across various levels of the organization.
- Support and facilitate remote or live workshops using design-thinking methodologies.
- Review and validate work with peers, stakeholders, and customers to maintain transparent communication.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate holistic solutions from multiple altitudes (high-level strategy down to execution).
- Leverage a wide variety of research methods, including interviews, surveys, and foundational research.
Education & Experience (one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field and 8+ years in product or service design.
- Master’s degree in a related field and 6+ years in product or service design.
- Equivalent experience, such as demonstrated proficiency using design thinking to solve complex problems.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or similar design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to design within a structured design system.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills.
- Ability to create design artifacts across multiple fidelities.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines in fast-paced, iterative environments.
- Experience working with enterprise/B2B environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience shipping products or delivering customer-facing experiences through an end-to-end design process.
- Certified in Design Thinking (IDEO, IBM, Stanford, Luna, Forrester, etc.).
- 3+ years conducting 1:1 qualitative research interviews.
- 5+ years designing, planning, and facilitating design-thinking workshops (live or virtual).
- 3+ years of relevant domain experience with enterprise (B2B) or technology-focused customers.
- Hands-on experience supporting remote workshops at scale.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $85,000 to $100,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
