In This Role
In this role, the Software Development Engineer will design, build, and optimize enterprise‑grade CRM and Power Platform solutions that directly support critical security and operational functions. This includes modernizing complex workflows, developing custom components, enhancing user experience, integrating data and content services, and ensuring systems operate reliably and securely in a regulated environment. The engineer will work hands‑on with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Pages, Power Automate, C#, and modern front‑end technologies to deliver high‑impact features that help protect customers from cybercrime and strengthen organizational security posture.
Key Responsibilities
Dynamics 365 / Dataverse Engineering
- Design and build model‑driven apps with simplified, intuitive forms, views, and business process flows.
- Configure Dataverse tables, columns, relationships, command bars, BPFs, and solution layers.
Custom Development
- Develop server‑side extensions including plugins and custom APIs using C#/.NET.
- Build custom UX components using TypeScript/React for PCF controls.
- Implement enhancements such as knowledge article improvements, attachment indicators, and specialized data-entry controls.
Power Platform Development
- Create and maintain Power Automate cloud flows, including event-driven automation, notifications, error handling, and reliability improvements.
- Support Power Pages configuration, upgrades, and customizations.
Integration & Content Management
- Implement SharePoint document integration for CRM entities.
- Design secure patterns for managing files and structured data across platforms.
DevOps & ALM
- Manage Solution deployments and packaging across DEV → PPE → UAT → PROD.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, perform code reviews, manage branches, and ensure proper build hygiene.
Security, Compliance & Quality
- Align development work with secure development lifecycle (SDL) requirements.
- Participate in threat modeling, service attestations, and compliance checks.
- Troubleshoot build issues (tokens, keys, code quality tools) and ensure production readiness.
Operational Excellence
- Diagnose failures in Power Automate, pipelines, or environment policies.
- Resolve environmental instability, support deployments, and ensure operational reliability.
Required Qualifications
Technical Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 custom development.
- 5+ years of experience with Power Pages development.
- 10+ years coding experience in C# or Python (C# strongly preferred for this role).
- Proficiency in building:
- Plugins, custom APIs (C#/ .NET)
- PCF controls (TypeScript/React)
- Model-driven apps and Dataverse customizations
- Expertise with Power Automate cloud flows and integrations.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and ALM/CI-CD pipelines.
UX & Application Design
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex forms and workflows.
- Experience working with PM/Design teams using wireframes or UX prototypes.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Power Pages UX customization, site migrations, or advanced configurations.
- Experience tuning performance for model-driven apps.
- Familiarity with Entitlement/security role modeling at scale.
- Experience integrating automated email features and telemetry.
- Strength in troubleshooting across cross-functional engineering teams.
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $130,000 – 140,000 USD per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
