About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Email Marketing Designer to own the creative vision and end-to-end execution of high-impact B2C email campaigns reaching a large global customer audience. In this role, you’ll lead campaigns from initial intake and concept development through design, stakeholder alignment, refinement, production, and final delivery.

This role combines advanced hands-on design, strategic copywriting, creative direction, and campaign leadership. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, translate broad campaign goals into compelling customer experiences, and help establish the creative standards and processes used across the email program.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who can set creative direction while personally producing polished work.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end creative strategy and execution of complex B2C email campaigns.
  • Establish the creative vision for campaigns based on business objectives, brand strategy, and customer needs.
  • Personally design sophisticated, responsive email experiences using Figma or a comparable design platform.
  • Lead creative development from intake and concept development through stakeholder feedback, approval, production, and launch.
  • Write, refine, and approve persuasive email content, including subject lines, headlines, body copy, and calls to action.
  • Ensure flawless grammar, tone, accuracy, brand consistency, and message clarity across campaign materials.
  • Present creative concepts and executive-ready rationale to senior stakeholders.
  • Influence decisions, negotiate feedback, and resolve conflicting input while protecting campaign objectives and the customer experience.
  • Partner with creative, marketing, program, and operational leaders to align campaigns with broader strategic direction.
  • Ensure creative designs are technically practical and can be successfully delivered through the organization’s email platform.
  • Establish and champion best practices for visual hierarchy, accessibility, responsiveness, and user-centered email design.
  • Use campaign-performance data and experimentation results to guide creative decisions and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Lead creative testing involving messaging, layouts, visual treatments, subject lines, and calls to action.
  • Document strategic rationale, design decisions, feedback, and iterative improvements.
  • Develop and improve email templates, standards, documentation, and reusable creative systems.
  • Manage multiple high-visibility campaigns and competing priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Identify creative and operational risks early, then develop solutions that keep campaigns moving.
  • Provide creative guidance, feedback, and mentorship to designers and marketing partners.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the broader email creative program.

What You'll Bring

  • Eight or more years of experience in email marketing, digital design, integrated marketing, advertising, or a related creative discipline.
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Figma or a comparable UI/UX or digital-design platform.
  • Extensive experience designing and leading B2C email campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ownership of the complete email creative lifecycle.
  • A strong portfolio showing sophisticated visual design and clear personal ownership.
  • Expert understanding of email-marketing strategy, creative best practices, and customer-engagement principles.
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to connect visual design and messaging to broader campaign and business objectives.
  • Experience presenting creative work and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence decisions, negotiate feedback, and clearly defend creative rationale.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience using campaign metrics and experimentation results to drive creative improvements.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex or high-visibility campaigns.
  • Strong project-management, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
  • Experience establishing or improving creative standards, templates, and processes.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an advertising agency, creative agency, or large-scale consumer-marketing organization.
  • Experience supporting global brands and campaigns reaching large customer audiences.
  • Experience providing creative direction or mentoring other designers.
  • Experience building reusable email templates or scalable creative systems.
  • Strong knowledge of lifecycle marketing, CRM strategy, and customer-journey communications.
  • Experience with email accessibility and responsive-design standards.
  • Experience leading subject-line, messaging, layout, visual, or call-to-action testing.
  • Familiarity with email campaign platforms and their technical design limitations.
  • Experience working within agile creative-development workflows.
  • Familiarity with ClickUp or another project-management platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional training.

Portfolio Requirements

Please include a portfolio link or relevant work samples with your application. Examples should ideally demonstrate:

  • Advanced hands-on email design.
  • End-to-end creative ownership.
  • High-profile B2C campaign work.
  • Strategic copywriting or messaging.
  • Global or large-scale customer communications.
  • Data-informed creative improvements.
  • Creative systems, templates, or process improvements.
  • Your specific contributions and decision-making authority for each project.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
