About the Role

The Membership & Incentives pod develops and manages high-volume loyalty and incentive communications across email and push for Brand Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. Because much of the portfolio consists of always-on campaigns, this role focuses on safely improving live customer journeys while ensuring communications that provide real value to travelers remain accurate and reliable.

As a Senior Comms Production Specialist within CRM Production and Traveler Engagement & Loyalty, you’ll own campaign delivery from build through launch and ongoing monitoring. You’ll lead technical execution, quality assurance, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination while serving as a key escalation point when issues arise near a scheduled send.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end campaign delivery across email and push using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Email Studio.
  • Configure and validate custom journey activities and API-based integrations, accounting for high-volume performance, failure states, and system thresholds.
  • Write and maintain AMPscript and SQL for personalization, segmentation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop safeguards that prevent communications from sending when required data is missing or incorrect.
  • Build dynamic, reusable templates from Figma designs and from scratch.
  • Create multi-brand, multi-market content with accurate currency formatting, dark-mode compatibility, and device coverage across more than 100 locales.
  • Build audiences and segments across Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud, including activations, automations, suppression and exclusion logic, and test and holdout groups.
  • Conduct technical quality assurance and user acceptance testing according to documented standards, including rendering, device compatibility, links, tracking, dynamic logic, data joins, and journey behavior.
  • Review teammates’ code and quality assurance work before campaigns reach the communications owner.
  • Lead campaign execution by managing workback schedules, coordinating localization testing and Go/No-Go decisions, and completing launch-day delivery checks.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable campaign documentation in Jira and Confluence, including story-point estimates, status updates, and identified risks.
  • Monitor live journeys, diagnose issues, and lead root cause analysis across data, automation, journey, and content layers.
  • Manage identified issues through resolution and confirm that corrective actions are completed.
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend updates when guidelines no longer support the pod’s needs.
  • Help pilot automation and validation tools that reduce manual production steps.

What You'll Bring

  • At least five years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience in a production environment with rigorous quality assurance standards.
  • Fluency in AMPscript, including writing, debugging, and refactoring code.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to validate campaign accuracy through data queries.
  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud data model, including Data Extensions, Shared Data Extensions, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder, triggered sends, and API sends.
  • Experience supporting high-volume campaigns with sends in the millions.
  • Understanding of the throughput limits, thresholds, and operational requirements associated with high-volume sends.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills for email.
  • Experience with dynamic and enhanced dynamic content and app push notifications.
  • Ability to work independently, find solutions, recognize when escalation is necessary, and manage difficult stakeholder conversations about scope or scheduling.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile counts and validate campaign variants under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment using Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to provide accurate estimates, maintain clear project status, and identify risks early.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with loyalty, rewards, promotions, or offer and incentive platforms.
  • Experience with SSJS.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or another customer data platform, including segments, activations, Data Model Objects, and calculated insights.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Developer certification.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud certification.
  • Experience designing test and control groups, managing holdouts, and evaluating results with analytics partners.
  • Experience migrating live communications to a new template or platform without service interruption.
  • Experience applying automation or AI tools to production workflows, such as scripted quality assurance or API-driven reporting.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
