Role: Business Lead – Special Projects
Location: Remote working until further notice
A Little Bit About the Role:
We are seeking a commercially focused Business Lead to own the relationship and commercial performance of special projects and transformation engagements. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, client leadership and GTM — identifying and driving account growth opportunities, setting strategic roadmaps, and partnering with SMEs and delivery teams to execute transformation across people, process and technology.
Key responsibilities — Business Lead
Strategic account leadership
- Partner with the account leadership to build a strategy and long‑term roadmap aligned to client business objectives and Brandtech+ capabilities.
- Act as a senior client contact and trusted advisor, engaging at executive level to influence strategy and secure outcome‑oriented commitments.
- Lead governance and stakeholder mapping; manage executive steering, steering committees and sign‑off processes.
Commercial stewardship
- Assist in setting commercial targets working with teams on pricing strategy; approve commercial terms and negotiate high‑value agreements.
- Drive, track and manage pipeline development and prioritisation to meet revenue and growth objectives.
Transformation leadership
- Work with clients, SMEs and other stakeholders to define and execute transformation pathways across people, process and technology.
- Design specialized strategic transformation roadmaps that accelerate AI adoption, operational efficiency and creative capability.
- Coordinate cross‑functional leadership (creative, product, data/AI, production, PMs) to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Growth and go‑to‑market
- Identify and convert upsell, cross‑sell and new business opportunities within and beyond assigned accounts.
- Shape proposals, commercial models and presentations for C‑suite and procurement.
- Represent Brandtech+ in client workshops, industry forums and thought leadership activities.
Team and stakeholder enablement
- Mobilise and empower delivery leads and PMs to execute against strategy; provide direction, remove blockers and ensure accountability for outcomes.
- Mentor and develop internal talent; embed best practice in account management, commercial execution and AI adoption.
Performance indicators (KPIs)
- Increased AI Adoption across candidate accounts (adoption rate, volume of AI‑enabled projects, percentage of account activity using AI).
- Improved NR/HC to company baseline — uplift Net Revenue per Headcount for managed accounts toward or above company baseline.
- Revenue growth and margin performance vs. targets (quarterly/annual).
- Client Net Promoter Score / executive satisfaction.
- Pipeline conversion rate and value of upsell/won opportunities.
- Successful delivery of agreed transformation milestones (on agreed business outcomes rather than detailed task delivery).
- Build out of successful case studies to use in sales and development opportunities
What we’re looking for
- Proven background in senior account leadership, business development or commercial roles within creative, production or digital agencies.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning P&L, forecasting and margin management.
- Track record of leading transformational client engagements that combine people, process and technology change.
- Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management—comfortable influencing C‑suite and cross‑functional teams.
- Data and outcome‑oriented mindset: able to define KPIs, measure impact and iterate strategy.
- Commercially and creatively minded; able to translate strategic vision into commercially viable propositions.
- Agency/production experience and a demonstrable interest in AI technologies and their business applications and impact on delivery.
